Pay attention closely to many of the largest Trump supporters here. You'll see that they need that Alpha male in their lives so desperately to make themselves feel better. It's almost like Gaston and Lefou in Beauty and the Beast. You can see some of this behavior in the NFT support or the ridiculous images that try so hard to make a pussy like Trump look tough. And once you realize that policy doesn't matter to those people, you have to realize that it becomes like debating a religious person or a leftist. You can't use any amount of logic to convince someone out of this position. There are a number of appropriate Thomas Sowell quotes on these types of things: The reason so many people misunderstand so many issues is not that these issues are so complex, but that people do not want a factual or analytical explanation that leaves them emotionally unsatisfied. They want villains to hate and heroes to cheer - and they don't want explanations that fail to give them that. The problem isn't that Johnny can't read. The problem isn't even that Johnny can't think. The problem is that Johnny doesn't know what thinking is; he confuses it with feeling. Mistakes can be corrected by those who pay attention to facts but dogmatism will not be corrected by those who are wedded to a vision. Etc, etc.
