The only ones Ive had are at the Cubs bar in O'hare.
I get pissed if my layover isn't long enough to stop in for 2 and a beer. Love em. |

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell a sport pepper is.

Chili, onion, mustard... That's all that should touch a hotdog. Leave it to Chicago to fuck up such a simple task

I'm a lifelong Southerner with deep deep southern roots but I have to admit that a Chicago Dog is a good option when I get tired of slaw dogs and chili dogs (with Varsity chili).

Chicago style dogs are awesome. I just have to make sure the stems are removed from the sport peppers.

Chicago dogs are like getting all worked up about how great steak with all the fixings of mushrooms, onions, and other stuff. Then when you dig in, it actually salisbury steak.

A good hotdog just needs mustard....and a big pile of kraut!

No peanut butter ?
No sweet green relish ? No Srirachi sauce ? No Polish dog from Costco ? Fail. You folks need to join the Dagger41 proper hotdog converts, I have created a cult devoted to this recipe. |

My buddies and I were talking about this. The whole American vs Lafayette is the most fake, contrived shit that is only discussed on TV shows that are doing something food related in Detroit. No one who lives in the area actually picks a side on one of those two. Most people would take a National any day over either of those two and you can get a National pretty much anywhere in metro Detroit instead of heading downtown. View Quote Lafayette is the best. I had a connecting flight in Chicago, so I had a Chicago dog in the Airport. It was good. After I finally left on my next flight, I wondered why I had not had some Chicago Style pizza.

It a shame, people throwing away a perfectly hot dog like that.
