I think it looks better than the unnamed "big boot" guns on the market...
I don't care for the "G-36/carbine/sub-gun look" but the rifle looks alright Looks like some of that "captured" cartel money is going to good use.. What are the two firing positions..Slow and Retard? Also I don't think I have ever seen a specific ammo (SS109) labeled on a weapon |

No... That's not a... Well, there is a little...
Aw heck, where did they find a Xerox machine that big? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

how long before they show up blinged out and covered with blood in a narco shootout thread.

For that reason, although there are numerous unofficial images on the Internet, there are no official pictures of the weapon. The Mexican restriction of official images is based on avoiding that cartel members confuse civilians with the use of disguised weapons in hopes of making it seem that the Mexican military is complicit in their activities. In a firefight between cartel hit men and Mexican soldiers it is important to be able to distinguish between federal security forces and the criminals. Protecting the integrity of the Mexican weapon helps in the war against the drug mafias. For the reason it is necessary to accept the official position of the government in restricting the release of official specifications for the weapon.

Quoted: It's racist. The FX-05 does not discriminate and is available in three colors. |

So, another weapon they can use ineffectively.
At least it's branded as coming from the MX military......which means that the Bradys will claim it came from TX gun shows when (not if) it shows up in the hands of the cartel. |

Mexican engineering. Have those two words ever been used together before?

Is it "safe" and "auto" only? Is "R" for "rapido" or is the word for semi start w/ an R?

Those guys are a lot more skilled with real world experience then 99.99% of the comandos here, and with very little training to boot. Remember, if they fuck up they get their heads cut off, body hanging from a bridge, then their family gets their heads cut off, then their daughter gets raped and her head cut off, etc..... |

customized mass produced g36 ? with a cool snake on it |

looks like a SCAR and a G36 did the dirty deed and this was the result.. while bushmaster filmed the whole thing

How about trowing them down the driveway? Any reports back on how that works yet?

Mexican engineering. Have those two words ever been used together before? That might've been funny a few years ago, but don't kid yourself. They can make good stuff with the rest of them these days. I know my dad, who's a machinist, only had good things to say about the quality of their machine work the last he worked with any mexicans on anything. It's a probably a pretty damned good rifle. |

Quoted: how long before they show up blinged out and covered with blood in a narco shootout thread. You know, at first I was surprised that I didn't see any of them in the narco pic threads, but then I thought to myself, why would they show them? They're a rifle unique to Mexico. They can deny the other weapons came from their .mil, but not those! |

if it was imported semi
and cheaper than a G36 clone.... I would get one.... |

It was my thinking it was a licensed produced version of the g36...guess not.
It uses polygonal rifiling! |

Is it just me or does that thing strike anyone else as unnecessarily large? It just seems like it should be narrower and less tall. Granted, I know we're all spoiled by the compactness of the AR platform, and that gas-piston driven weapons are generally a little taller in profile, but that thing makes my AK look rather svelt.
