CMMG will not support states that have police departments and law enforcement agencies arming themselves with firearms and weapons that are not available to law abiding citizens. CMMG does not believe in separate classes of citizens and will not engage in sales to states that enact legislation promoting that belief.

CMMG will, however, make exceptions to police departments and law enforcement agencies that have taken a public stand refusing to recognize or enforce unconstitutional firearm restrictions. Agencies making this stand are putting their careers on the line to take a constitutional stand for all Americans as fellow citizens. Abraham Lincoln spoke on June 16, 1858, and stated that "a house divided against itself cannot stand;” CMMG supports those who support our freedom.

CMMG, as industry partners, and gun owners (including law enforcement agencies), need to stand up and stand together to counter this assault on our freedom and our constitutional rights. The Constitution is the supreme legal authority in our land, and we are bound by its words. It states in the Preamble that it was written to "form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.” The Founding Fathers agreed the best way to establish this was through the Bill of Rights which includes the Second Amendment. Let us take this stand together, unified, to continue allowing this country to be the beacon of freedom to the world.

Those that enforce unconstitutional laws do not need your support. If you give them yours I am afraid you no longer have mine. The fact that you would sell your product to those that would arrest otherwise law abiding people for possessing your product is disappointing in the extreme. Please reconsider.

 



First time post.  Been lurking for quite a while.  I can't agree more with the bolded part above.  I sent an email to ArmaLite just yesterday explaining this very thing.  Now I'm extremely disappointed to see Magpul take a similar stance.  Hell....between me an a few other friends, two days ago we took delivery of 300 Pmags which were ordered back in December.   Looks like that will be my final order.  Like someone else posted....I don't really need Magpul products.  Officially done with them.

I'm really disappointed in Magpuls response. Its a very difficult situation with many variables, its one of those things that you can't make everyone happy BUT at a minimum stopping direct sales to LE in ban States is the right thing to do. I applaud Magpul fighting the draconian proposals in Colorado, BUT their position is riding the fence.

And they thought Colorado politicians was their worst enemy... they may regret the day they took their current position.

Midway is probably the biggest on that list. While Barrett, Spikes, and the like are well known they are not very big compared to Armalite, Colt, Bushmaster.

So basically you are saying that if you don't sell to them they will just buy from another company and you don't want to lose the sale.

Wish I didn't just spend around $200 buying every Magpul product I could to put on my first AR along with a few hundred dollars on 35 Pmags. Won't be spending another penny on Magpul.

Magpul's response is disheartening.  I thought--perhaps to my ignorance--that Magpul never said whether they would still sell to individual .gov officials...needless to say they will.  Great products, but no friend of mine.

I am liking the language I see from the companies run by true patriots, not those that cop out and compromise in an attempt to land on both sides of the fence.

If we are not all in this together, feeling the same pain, then the cause is for nothing.  Sad that Magpul has drawn the lines that it has.

We don't sell directly to LE, but have worked in the past on special projects. What we will not do is supply those manufacturers with augmented machining services of product, who choose to support those in BAN states. It's not much we can do, but I feel the statement of doing so is worth the effort. It is what we believe as a company.

We don't sell directly to LE, but have worked in the past on special projects. What we will not do is supply those manufacturers with augmented machining services of product, who choose to support those in BAN states. It's not much we can do, but I feel the statement of doing so is worth the effort. It is what we believe as a company.

With current regulations and laws being pushed in states such as New York and California that limit the rights of the people, 2A-Armament has decided to stand next to its brothers in the firearms manufacturing industry. Knowing that all men are created equal, it has become evident that some are more equal than others by way of regulations that usurp the very Constitution we took an oath to protect. Our name alone reflects what our company stands for.

Effective immediately, 2A-Armament will not sell its product, manufacturing time, or machine time to those States, Agencies, Departments, or individual officers who seek to strip the people of the United States of their Constitutional rights. We encourage other manufacturers to take the same course of action. 2A-armament will not provide the tools to those who wish to use them against the very people who make up these United States of America.

I was saving up for Magpul furniture and sights for my newest rifle build. Not any more. I'm seriously thinking of selling my Pmags as soon as I can replace them.

They seem to be ok with that. Since if you won't buy their parts you are just going to buy them somewhere else. It sucks though. I liked them alot.  I also think Travis wouldn't have let this shit fly if he was in charge.
