Instead of betting on it, why not just ask him?

Because if you actually take time to read what he wrote and think about it a moment, he criticized the Rock for making a big deal about his donation.  He didn't say he should have given more, or a higher percentage of his income or that he was obligated to give anything at all.

It's like some people in here can't even understand what they read.

Some of you are doing to the OP the exact thing you hate and harp on when the left calls you a racist for wanting a border wall. OP can be fine with or even not care about Johnson's giving and not like it that (in his eyes) Johnson is bragging about it.

He may be wrong about whether or not Johnson is bragging versus challenging others to match.  But for so many to take that criticism and then flip into OP being part of the FSA or a statist who wants to seize Johnson's assets because he rich?  I mean, WTF.

You do the very same thing (rush to judgment and make assumptions about someone's motives) that you are bitching about him doing to the Rock.

I bet OP thinks just because someone makes 1 million dollars a year, somehow their debt to society or use of public resources is different than someone who makes 60k.

You must have missed the OP's title of this thread, and also not watched the video, if that's the conclusion you came to.

I loved Be Cool.

With James Woods dying right off the bat, he saved the movie.

Sean Penn could've bought a drain plug for his boat if he'd shown up this time.

Not a fan of his movies (not a hater either)

How is $25K any less useful to those affected by the flooding because of the % of his income? Honestly it is $24,050 more than what I have donated so far.

Good for him.

He didn't actually do it yet and I would be shocked if he does from his own money (pulling from the trump foundation slush fund that he doesn't actually contribute to doesn't count).

He has a habit of pledging lots of personal donations and not following through.

I'm ok with the donation, every little bit helps of course, but I will say it seems a little vacuous given that he probably spends more money on his mani/pedi's a month, but it is afterall his money so there's that! The only real problem I have is that he's got his sights on public office, and will likely use that towards his PR campaign that's sure to come if he does actually make a push for some type of public office, and I fear given the relatively miniscule amount (compared to his income/net worth etc) this was done for just that purpose, so he could say "HEY look at me, I donated my own money to the relief effort, vote for me".

My $0.02 and worth every damn penny

1,000,000 dollars.

Of course you wouldn't know that because you are a manipulated sheep. You only know what your like minded masters in the media tell you. Of course the mainstream media didn't report on Trump's One MILLION dollar donation. It does not fit their narrative and it's not what you wanted to hear so they avoided it.

Your trusted new organizations admitted they only report things that you want to hear, to confirm your biases.

The Rock made $64.5 million in 2016.  He recently made a huge deal about donating $25,000 to the flood victims in Texas.

Let put this into perspective.  $25,000 of $64.5 million is 0.04%.  If an average person is making $60,000 per year, that is equivalent to them donating $23.  A whole $23.  Literally the size of a good eat out meal.

I get donating but why brag about it?

What a joke.

If he made 64 million. It means he took home or netted half that or roughly $32.25 million

1. If he did donate he would be criticized for too much/not enough/attention whore/non-presidential/evil money/buying votes etc.

2. How much did the previous president ever donate to things like this? How much from the Clintons? Republicans donate much more to charity than the Dems.

3. Is antifa filling sandbags? BLM?  Sarsour? CNN?

3. Antifa has done exactly as much as the stormfront guys.... still sitting around with their dicks in their hands

Oh boy. I bet this is going to turn out like the millions he raised for disabled veterans, only to apply it to settling lawsuits. I bet your news never reported that because it doesn't fit their (your) narrative.

Is he a Houstonian??? I am. $25,000 is a lot of money. $25,000 more than I've given so far. He wasn't obligated to donate shit. How pathetic to down play someone's charitable giving just because you don't think its enough. He could have said "not my problem" but instead he donated a lot of his own money.
