The majority of my ARs are fixed stock builds. Half are A1s and the other half are A2s. One build has the fabled Colt CS stock from Canada. An A1 length built to A2 specifications. Paid $50 a while back now... probably before 2016.
They now go for stupid prices these days. Attached File But I've been on the hunt for a RRA entry stock. They're smaller length than an A1, but built to A2 specs. These are not cheap either. Attached File But this past weekend at Arfcom's Gunstock 2023, I got a new in the bag one for $60. Attached File I have a SBR'ed lower floating around and with this stock, I'll build a KISS 10.5" build that'll look similar to this: Attached File |

I have an entry stock but can't find it. I have two sully stocks and some NIB colt a1 length newer style stocks

Started my Marine Corps career with the M16A2 and then the M16A4. I really prefer a fixed stock with the Otis cleaning kit in the buttstock compartment.

I have 1 AR with an A2 length fixed stock. Haven't shot it in years.

Have one of the old Cavalry Arms A1s on a rifle. It is sweet! |

I knew I shouldn't click on this thread. Now, I NEED and Entry Stock!!!!!

I've been looking for one for a while but I don't want it $200 bad.

I have one fixed stock, it is on my 20" AR. Yucks all around.
Oddly enough, I do have some fixed braces. |

I'm a fan of magpul fixed carbine. I wish they would do it with the cheek rest/battery compartment.

The tube and buffer can be used for a 607 clone.
Sell that monstrosity, and invest in an actual 607 stock. |

Oh damn, I have one of those in a random parts box somewhere. I'm even not very tall and it's way too short to be comfortable. I didn't have a plate carrier at the time to make it more useful, so just tossed it in a bin years ago.

Gross. That's like getting excited to ride the short bus to school.

Nice score OP. I really wish someone would reproduce the CS stocks again. Amazing the price the "entry" stocks are getting.
I do like fixed-stock AR carbines. Attached File |

Anyone wanting to rid themselves of that ugly and impractical stock let me know.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does square mean in this context?

I remember when people couldn’t give away those ban era “entry stocks”. I guess I better start looking for my old thumbhole stocks for AKs, since those will probably be the next hot collectors item.

Fixed Quoted: Ayup. I've got more A1-length fixed stocks than any other type of stock (I have four of them, three polymer and one wood). A1 length is the best stock, especially when it is an Colt CS stock because it is an A2 made to A1 lengths. |

Quoted: Ban era thumbholes will never be popular in the sense of retro-collectability. The fixed RRA entry stocks, Colt CS stocks, and others are gaining popularity due to the popularity of retro stuff drawn on by nostalgia. Look at the popularity now of fixed carry-handled uppers. I recall when no one wanted them. View Quote Retro is popular for nostalgic reasons, but it’s also clone correct for military rifles from the 50s all the way through the 90s. Entry stocks were made because telescoping carbine stocks were illegal during the assault weapon ban, and for no other reason. The military never used them. I think some police departments might have, but Only because of idiotic gun control legislation. I’m sure there are some people who prefer the look of them, but to me that will always be an assault weapon ban compliant stock, just like a thumbhole stock. That being said, I’ve got a bunch of M-16A1 type E stocks that are apparently worth a lot of money. Maybe I should sell this old stuff off instead of letting a pile up in totes? |
