Could just remove the roll mark as well, as long as there's no damage to the serial/model info. Also, cutting it in half doesn't count as "destroyed" to the ATF. They require a minimum of 2 torch cuts removing at least 1/4" of width per pass, or crushing it into a pile of little pieces. Important, because after the cutting, you'd have to keep both halves. Regardless of how I feel about what he's said, I'm not destroying a working lower out of spite. |

What I don't get is that Trump using the Insurrection Act, or having states get the National Guard into these areas isn't illegal, or even border line illegal. The Insurrection Act is a legit act. So why are servicemen either ignorant of this, or don't care to the point of alleged mutiny?

When someone went on video and cut up an AR, barrel first, a lot were saying ATF should prosecute him for manufacturing an SBR because he didn't follow the proper procedure of destruction. It's only a concern if you plan on disposing of the pieces afterwards. |

So let's say some of the military attempt a.....coup, mutiny, or whatever you want to call it.....how would The President handle it? I know how he SHOULD handle it. But how do you think he WOULD handle it?
Also, what damage does it do to our military? Especially regarding trust. And what does it do for those who oppose us? Do we seem weaker and they see a chance and try.....something?...anything? Not trying to be all doom and gloom, here. I'm just thinking out loud, really. |

I saw article that was discussing talk by the 82nd Paratroopers (currently at Andrews). Seems they were questioning the legality of being ordered to deploy against American civilians.
Yes we have laws against using the military as police. But I think there are plenty of exceptions to this. National Guard, defensive positions, then there are the more than dozen times that martial law has been invoked in the US. |
