FA HK MP5. Best part was blowing through hundreds of rounds of Gov ammo. Must've been about 12-13 at the time.

How does recoil from a full power load compare to a 10 gauge, 2 ounce turkey load?

Wow. I figured 12 gauge level at absolute minimum. Now I wish I'd have bought the one that was for sale here last year.

Not a rifle, but a MaDuece.

A few belts of ammo will put a smile on your face.

I'd say a 6 PPC. It was fun because (1) it was the most precise and (2) because fireforming 220 Russian was a blast!

In terms of semi-auto fire, there's nothing that beats shooting pop cans with a 10/22.

Full auto goes to the M-16.  Although the MP-5 comes close.

2 come to mind...

-My FWB300S. Just an 80's vintage German 10 meter .177 match rifle. The whole action shifts in the stock when firing so there is virtually no recoil. Plus the adjustable dual stage trigger is just on a different level. Makes the SSA-E in my AR feel downright heavy.

-My friend's Tac Ops Tango 51 suppressed rifle. It just felt special...can't describe it. Only other rifle that felt the same way was the XM3 our unit got in 2007.

Winner!

VDOC had some of those at the old Virginia State Pen back in the 70s for prison escape attempts and riot control.

I was told that they replaced the old BARs in the towers. Seems VDOC got a little concerned about the possibility of sending M2 rounds into downtown Richmond. I guess they figured the possibility of sending copious amounts of stray .22 rounds into the city was more better.

I was waiting around shooting the shit one day at the armory (waiting to tote a couple convicts from the Pen to my unit) and the armorer showed me a A-180 and asked if I wanted to shoot it.

He had his own indoor range there. I dumped a mag and it never faltered......Impressive!  Of course then I got dragooned into cleaning it and loading mags.

Man, that place was a treasure house to someone like me. Racks and racks of fun toys.

A Ruger 10/22.
I’ve always had one or two since I was a kid.  I currently have 2 in my safe.  Everybody who shoots it can’t put it down.  A 10/22 with couple of 25 round mags and bulk pack ammo can’t be beat for fun shooting

Yup ...
Started at about 6 years old and am 54 now.
It's a zen kinda thing.

Spent about 30 minutes with a PPSh-41 once though.

Wish I had had more ammo that day ...

Even bone stock without a brake the rum is right close to a 12 gauge....but a good brake is huge...having it a bit heavier helps too...the boys 700 long range in 300rum is about 9 pds as shipped, my original 700 when I bought it new was 7.5 pounds I think..runs about 16 pds now with the med Palma barrel and the mpa BA chassis and the heavy razor...I could get it down around 10-11 pretty easy though..

I have a friend who has one...the air pressure hurts my head to much unfortunately...
When I decided on the rum back in 99 I wanted one rifle that could do anything I needed...was looking at the 30-378..glad I went with the rum instead..been a great round and has served me well all these years...

Marlin .30-30

Garand

Springfield .03

I always love pump .12ga shooting and pistol shooting.

If I had all the above I would be happy with just those at every range trip.

I enjoy my Marlin lever gun in 44 mag.

But my dad's Marlin 39 with the 24" octagon barrel is heaps of fun because it is dead silent. And it's been in the family for decades.

The gun I have had the most fun shooting is my 280 AI. It's my #1 gun.

The most fun just shooting would be a FA MP5 for the pure giggle factor or my 375 H&H because recoil can be fun.
