My fun gun is my M1 Carbine.

Shooting my 1858 Smith Carbine is fun, too, but I only take it out once every couple of years.

A Ruger 10/22.
I’ve always had one or two since I was a kid.  I currently have 2 in my safe.  Everybody who shoots it can’t put it down.  A 10/22 with couple of 25 round mags and bulk pack ammo can’t be beat for fun shooting

You got that right....I've worn out barrels in them....

Winner!

VDOC had some of those at the old Virginia State Pen back in the 70s for prison escape attempts and riot control.

I was told that they replaced the old BARs in the towers. Seems VDOC got a little concerned about the possibility of sending M2 rounds into downtown Richmond. I guess they figured the possibility of sending copious amounts of stray .22 rounds into the city was more better.

I was waiting around shooting the shit one day at the armory (waiting to tote a couple convicts from the Pen to my unit) and the armorer showed me a A-180 and asked if I wanted to shoot it.

He had his own indoor range there. I dumped a mag and it never faltered......Impressive!  Of course then I got dragooned into cleaning it and loading mags.

Man, that place was a treasure house to someone like me. Racks and racks of fun toys.

I saw a dude shooting one at a public range when I was a kid, maybe 10 or 12?  It was an incredible sight, I’ll never forget it.

My new marlin SS 30-30 is another one, the damn gun shoots so good it thinks it's a bolt action LOL. 1 to 1 1/2" groups @ 100yds.

And so slick, these guns were supposed to be lemons but nobody told this Marlin that. It truly is addicting, I am shooting 110gr Speers hp out of it now

with Imr 4895 it even does better than the hunting loads I load for it. And it's one of them jewels you just have to admire it's so damn sexy, love lever guns!

Had the same experience myself years ago, fired a clip full through my old polish Mauser and looked up with everyone staring at me. Should have kept that old rifle!

Very nice.  If I had the money I think I could start collecting lever guns and be happy.

.357 Mag Timberwolf by IMI. Such a fun plinker with enough power to be useful!

I also really enjoy my savage 17hmr bolt gun. Lots of fun to punch accurate holes at long distances with something no louder and no less manageable than a 22.

My buckmark suppressed with a red dot on top is a blast as well...

One of my favorite days of shooting ever involved my M1 Carbine and about a dozen bowing pins.

Grease gun and BAR were fun but, the one in my avatar was probably the most fun.

PSC 11. Since I bought it, it's about the only rifle I have shot for a few years. It's just that much fun.

My suppressed 9mm AR is fun. Was more fun when I had a bump stock.

But my all time favorite was a rented UZI.

Guy showed up one time with a 9mm machine pistol that had the sights on the right side of the gun. It had the normal grip but also had a second grip on 'top' of it that was turned 90 degrees.
When you held the gun with both grips the bore line was centered between your hands. The line of thrust was such that there was no yawing or pitching when you fired it.
It would empty a 20 rd Hi Power mag in less than 2 seconds. It was a riot to shoot and easy to hit with.

The one gun that gave me the most pleasure to carry was my Ruger #1 45-70. Pushing a 400gr Speer FN at 1950 it wasn't maxed out but was quite a thumper.
That one tasted a LOT of hog and deer blood.

M-14's are also a hoot in full auto.

My HK MR762 with the HK/OSS suppressor is by far my favorite.  It feels like a 5.56 when shooting it, smooth and hardly any recoil.  Makes me smile every time I pull the trigger.

Of the guns I don't own, MP5SD with a happy switch is probably at the top of the list.  Like shooting one of those old BB gun machineguns at that carnival.

My full auto UZI. I had it 10 years and I still have that dumb smile on my face everything I pull the trigger.

A toss up between the HK 53, PPSH, HK 51, and the M60 I used to carry as a 11B30.

If I'm not, an M60

(since everyone else abandoned the "rifle" part)
