I heard, from a reputable inside source, the stickers are printed on some of the paper Hitler didn't get around to using and that they lack the structural integrity of other competitors stickers.

Come at me, bro.

I will grant it's a poor marketing move, simply because it's a shitty design. On the use of the Death's Head, let people who want to be ruled by knee jerk emotion get rule by knee jerk emotions. This is no different then people who get upset at the sight of a Confederate flag or Redskin on the side of a football helmet.

Yes it's similar to the SS Totenkopt, hell it may be from the Nazi flash art section at the local tattoo parlor. However the Death's Head has an original meaning of outlaws, pirates, death, and danger.

Damn, I hate wearing a flame suit all the time.....

Totenkopf, yes. The SS-Totenkopf? Well, no, that didn't pre-date the Nazis.

Doesn't matter if it predates or not. It is in bad taste and will attract an unfortunate crowd. Marketing is the art of making ones products or services desirable. This will alienate a lot of people.

It is the particular picture they chose. Look at the ITS tactical logo or anyone of the Pirate Jacks from the USN in the last 10 years. They are vastly different than the pictured logo. But they are still cool skull logos. This might cost them other sales and .gov contracts but if they think the can make up for it with the rebel flag crowd so be it.

This company just has a history of publicly stepping on their dick. I mostly consider people in marketing as low level mouth breathers that restate the obvious. But by god, SEI could use some.

I'll be the first to call out the now de rigueur offended/persecuted shtick, but using Nazi iconography/symbolism for your business is comically retarded.

I don't know about feigned offense...let me ask my grandfather if he is cool with it after the Nazi's blew his ship to the bottom of the North Sea.

Stupid and disrespectful move. I realize there is a whole generation now who don't have any relatives that fought the Nazi's and so we forget. But though my grandfather is 94 I still will honor his and my great uncles sacrifices for my country. You can just ignore that generation of hero's since you have had your fill.

Appears to be just a sticker. At least I hope. They'd be foolish to switch from the one they have now to this. As pedestrian as the current one is, this is light years more terrible.

Good corporate branding should not look like 9th grader slapped some random typeface on top of a piece of clip art, sorry to say.

Development of a logo, particularly one that a brand identifies itself with, should be rigorous process, usually highly expensive, and should be integrated into the company's aesthetic identity as a whole in all media fronts. This looks like it was made by an intern who can open MS Paint.
