In for epic thread. I do not understand these fat bastards. I'm in the army and did a little to much indulging, gaining 17 lbs. Faced with a chapter 18 for continuing down the path of those habits or losing the weight I just stopped eating junk and now eat a fruit and yogurt smoothie for breakfast, a small 250 cal salad with some tuna for lunch, and whatever I want for dinner (no desert), still get to drink beer, and guess what I lost that weight in 6 weeks. It's not hard to put down the fork. Initially ya feel hungry but that's good and after a few days ya find that less food fills ya up. Fat basterds just do not want to change their lifestyle.

As someone who has struggled all my life with my weight, I learned that 90% of the hunger I felt was simply learned. I got hungry when I normally ate. If I powered through that time, the hunger went away until the next time I would normally eat. By eating right (if they did more than kill it, clean it, and bag it, then I don't eat it), and training (and learning) when to eat and how much. I took the extra weight off. Genetics determines how easy it is, no doubt about it--my wife struggles to KEEP weight on, she is like 120 and should be 130--she is 5'10". But that is only how easy or hard, not whether is can be done or not. If you are like me, and it is hard, that is just the way it is. Is gotta be tough. Math and science comes easy for me, for others not so much. Staying at a healthy weight if hard for me, for others it is easier. So what? That is life, and everyone is different. |

No, I guess I just know that people that are severely obese are ashamed but cant seem to find the answer. This false pride she spreads is self defensive. Lacking empathy doesn't make you a better person in my book. Not being a fat ass makes me a better person. |
