Flightlite Herring 2024
Flightlite just won the tactical lever action game with a lever action AR that takes all AR15 barrels and bolts, as well as all Stanag magazines. |

But y tho?
Is this abomination intended to sidestep some weird state hunting law or something? |
|
How do you win a game when Kel Tec can keep more product in stock than you?
|
|
Ok but why
Also its fightlite so its gonna cost a bajillion dollars |

It’s basically an AR-15 bastardized into a lever gun. No thanks.
The only redeeming quality I can come up with is the fact that it might make a pretty decent 300 blk rifle with subs and a suppressor. |

In .300 blk with a suppressor, I could maybe get interested in it. Otherwise, it seems to be a solution in search of a problem.

Quoted: Did not know there WAS a tactical lever action game. View Quote Attached File I also have a handguard for the black gun; I want to use a side sling mount and a side light and the wider handguard will keep my fingers off the barrel. I shouldn't have bought the .22 handguard though. It was supposed to be an easy, 4 minute install. I scratched up my gun and the bolt for the new barrel band is too long, when it's properly tightened down the handguard is off center. I only bought it because both were in stock, it took me a month to get them. |

Make it DI gas operated semi-auto. Keep the lever though. Have it as an option for those who operate in extreme conditions where the forward assist might not be enough.
Or maybe for enough force and leverage to close the bolt on 5.45x39 steel case in a 5.56x45 chamber (reduction gears maybe?) in emergencies where you've run out of ammo, but have some battlefield pickup rounds from the enemy... |
|
I do appreciate the addition of a small top rail on a modern lever.
I'm never going to use it for HD or any other "tactical" scenario. No need for a light, IR, etc. I love a lever for its retro-ness. |

Looks like a California abortion. |
|
Too bad you’ll never be able to buy one.
I would buy a SCR but they are almost never available. |

Might want to look to fightlites Facebook and Instagram and all the reviews of nonexistent customer service when something goes wrong with their expensive products before purchasing.
|
|
They are ugly, but I wouldn't mind having one in the safe with multiple conversion parts/uppers. SBRed? They are possibilities.

A friend of the guy who designed this has a video of him shooting one:
Herring Mod. 2024 LEVER ACTION RIFLE!! |

Yuck. Hard pass. It will have issues Fightlite can't keep up with and they will never be in stock.
Hell to the naw |

Quoted: Did not know there WAS a tactical lever action game. View Quote The concept makes some sense in the suppressed role. Significantly quieter than any autoloader, but faster than turnbolts or even straight-pulls. Outside of suppressed use? I have no idea, seems lame to me, but whatever folks want to buy I suppose. |
