I fully expected to see a video of three dudes fucking on that web page because that's almost how gay that rifle is.

For those who, like me, have wanted an SCR, but haven't been able to find one in stock, now we know why. Rather than building product, the geniuses at Fightlite have been having gay orgies.

They've also been making billet aluminum grips for their SCR lowers that nobody can actually buy.

Also its fightlite so its gonna cost a bajillion dollars

Yeah that was thought.  I will give them an A for thinking outside the box but why go this route?  You want a lever action, buy one.  You want an AR, buy one.  The 2 really don't go together.

More power to them I guess.

AFAIK, it wont accept any AR triggers.  You're stuck with the proprietary one it ships with.  Which kinda defeats the purpose of basing it off the AR but then tweeking it enough that you cant use the world of aftermarket parts.

It is a lot of something different. Despite the continuing trend, everything does NOT need a pistol grip.

I have a pile of ARs (in all kinds of configs and calibers) and while great, I am getting a little bored of them. I have some lower/upper sets in the safe for when the kids get older, but lately I have been into other types of firearms.

That said, Flightlite seems to be the new Keltec. Putting out products people want and only making 3 a year. The difference being that their CS seems to be absolutely nonexsistant.

And when we eventually get another federal ban? Then all states will be ban states. Its just getting ahead of legislation.

I think we have different ideas of "winning".

But different guns can be fun, so for people who want them, enjoy them.

No.

Not because it’s “tactical” but because it’s 5.56. 45-70, or 357 Mag. Maybe a 22 for the kids. Anything else with a lever can fuck off.

If stuff like the Ares SCR was actually obtainable and cheap, I'd seriously consider replacing my "truck rifle" with one.  The "straight line" form factor really lends itself to getting in and out of racks and tight spots more smoothly than the traditional AR form factor, especially with a 20-round magazine.

This.  If it takes any AR15 barrel and hand guards, I’d buy one just to transplant my gasless  mside-charger (ie: pull action) .300BLK barrel/handguard/silencer onto.

I told my Korean coworker about the video of him in Japan posing on the catwalk. Pulled up the video to show him, and his comment, "There's a lot of Asian people there." Uh, yeah buddy, it's Japan...

Not even with a .50 THIS IS BEOWULF upper?

I suppose that brings out the next questions- is the bolt the same as the SCR? What would happen if a regular DI upper were put on with that bolt?

I've always liked that design. I get it was done for ban states, but like you listed, it has a lot of practical use. Basically, a better Mini 14.

Ok the more I think about it I am starting to come around.

458 SOCOM / 450 Bushmaster barrel/upper
11" barrel
Dead Air Primal
16" handguard
500gr subs

But I could just do the same with a normal AR lower and have it be semi auto so still not seeing the point unless its ban state fuckery.

I understand a pump action AR. A good one could have a high rate of aimed fire, while maintaining a detachable magazine.

But this is a solution in search of a problem. Unless you really need the extra torque and leverage of a lever to extract?

the benefit of lever actions is that they're NOT AR CALIBERS.. a lever action in .556, 300blk, 9mm, .45acp? what a fucking waste of money...

regardless of the AR caliber you choose, it will do exactly what an AR will do.. only slower..

Well the breech is locked until you cycle the lever, so it is as quiet as possible

it better than a boltaction, cause you can fill yer hands and cycle the action while doing a Rooster Cogburn assault on horseback

Pump action guns kinda suck as soon as you want to shoot from a rest or from prone.
