The older brother of my childhood friend had one back in 84 and sold it after the novelty wore off. I would imagine if he saw this he would be kicking himself but such is life.

The wedge on the front looks like an afterthought. Would look better without it.

Quoted: No, but worth money yes ! View Quote Yep, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder on that one. Mercedes just took the single highest auction record from Ferrari, btw. $143,000,000. One of the two, original silver 300 SLRs from their museum's collection. Get this...the car will stay in the museum, but the new owner will be able to drive it occasionally Attached File |

Was never my favorite, but classic American muscle for sure.
I don't even want to think of what my bought-new-off-the-lot, 1970 LS6 SS 454 would bring at auction these days. My old race partner had a Boss 429 Mustang, also bought new. I'll bet that would bring some nice change too. |

Always reminded me of an old torpedo or an ironclad. Something heavy, slow, and shitty at turning.

Looks like a space dildo. Pass.
Hate to say it, but the Italians actually are more stylish. |

Has an 8 track player in it, so there is that. Wonder if it comes with a book of matches...few here will understand that.

Quoted: The wedge on the front looks like an afterthought. View Quote Basically it was. Those cars were designed to run 200mph over distance, not 1/4 miles drag races. But with a HEMI and 440, they could hold there own on a strip. At the high speed tracks like Daytona and Talladega, aero is king. Chrysler Co. were innovators of streamlining cars for NASCAR. Taking the Charger 500, which was already a streamlined version of the basic Charger, and hanging the nose and wing on them gave the equivalent of a huge horsepower gains thru aerodynamics. Richard Petty had left Plymouth for Ford in ‘69. Chrysler tried to lure him back with the Daytona Charger. He wanted a Plymouth version, so the Superbird was hatched. I’ve always said if I hit the lotto, a Daytona and Superbird are my first auto purchases. Fucking love them. |

They are ugly to me. I owned a 68 Charger, looked great!
With that said, I don't think many modern cars are keeping up with that old pile on the track it was intended for. Anyone know top speed? I have been around Texas Int. At full speed in a stock car, shits scary yo. |

There truly is no accounting for taste.
That thing is butt-ugly. |

In the 70's a good friend's mom drove him to school every day in a superbird.
