Panama Jack used to be my go to, but they don’t make them anymore. Retro Rifle does some pretty nice ones, but I’m here for answers too.

Hell, what’s a good brand for linen shirts too?

The one thing I don't get with Hawaiian shirts are that most (even high end) use such a tight weave fabric that they don't breathe in the least and are sweat boxes in the summer when... you want to wear them.  I've had original Magnum PI, official Jimmy Buffet, Tommy Bahama, etc.   I'd take less defined graphics on a looser, breathable weave any day, except they don't seem to exist in the world of Hawaiian shirts.  It's not like you can even cheap out and be comfortable, as the shit-tier polyester versions may as well be a plastic bag, too.

forget all the boomer collector brags and walk proud with only shirts from

"Little Dogs of Bali"

It's coveted by real collectors since it was a front for a famous, unnamed, Thai stick smuggler/surfer.

Reyn Spooner - last forever, especially the Spooner Cloth. I still have a couple from the late 80’s.

Tori Richard - Nice Prints, a little more cotton lawn fabric, very soft and cool in hot weather.

Go Barefoot and Kahala are well made as well.

 I’m a bit of a collector.

 Aloha

Yeah, I got approached by an older couple while I was wearing the one I posted earlier. Lady asked me questions while her chunky hubby grinned ear to ear. He was wearing a mask, but the upper half of his face indicated a giant smile underneath. No, I did not FO.

It's the difference between buying a "dress shirt" from Walmart and getting one from Paul Fredrick or something. There's just some little attention to detail like the buttons, pocket pattern match, and thread/material quality that make a difference in looks and comfort.

Polyester sucks. Fuck those companies.
