I don’t know man. White plastic buttons, made from cotton. Made in Japan.

Yes, they are expensive.

Another +1 for Retro Rifle.

Also, 100% linen shirts, short or long sleeved, are great when the weather heats up.

I don't have any linen shirts right now but I have a pair of linen cargo shorts I love and they go great with all my Hawaiian shirts. Room for my P938 and a spare mag in the front or cargo pockets.

Oahu wasn’t that bad until the late 1990s. Everywhere I’ve enjoyed seems to somehow have an insane amount of people compared to 20 or 30 years ago like Bali and Indonesia is now crowded, even Barbados surf spots are crowded. It’s like the planet all decided to move to the same places on Earth. California I think has finally peaked out at 40 million and now dropping 700,000 since 2020. Florida seems more crowded than I remember back in 2014. I’m not the type to live in the sticks but I also don’t want to live in Manhattan either. Kauai and Maui was my step Dad and Mom’s favorite islands. I really like the big island, it’s a different vibe there. But only as a civilian. Doing Army Training at PTA on those lava rocks is no fun.

You should check out this lady: Jacqueline on Kauai

We stumbled upon her shop on our trip. She’s an eccentric shirt artist, to say the least. I’m very happy with the hand made shirt I got from her. Judging by the pictures of the various celebrities she has around the shop, it looks like she’s in demand in those circles. I only bought one shirt and I rarely wear it, but when I do, it (not me) gets compliments.

I was disappointed by family housing at Schoefield when I was there. But North Shore and avoiding Honolulu traffic was a plus. Even remote places in California now have Instagram influencers showing up for selfies in numbers enough that locals complained.

Bought my 1st Tommy Bahama yesterday, lucky to have an outlet a few miles away. Half-price deals and absolutely beautiful colors. Wore it to work and I got lots of positive comments,I'll be back for at least one more.
No cheap ones for Me, the better quality clearly stands out from other shirts.

If you like the Magnum Jungle Bird shirt and purple, Paradise Found does make a black/purple version of it as well.

That’s no lie.

I wear a L in most shirts. (32” waist)

I had to buy M’s for Hawaiian shirts, same a Duluth. They are sized like Lane Bryant

Those were TP9s, not MP7s. They had it on clearance for like $17 and I picked one up. They also dropped the jungle bird red one, which is probably my second favorite after the Rhodesian/AH-6 Little Bird pattern.

If you want one with MP7s, that is still in stock

Paradise Found says to size down. I too normally wear a large but went with a medium on this.

So trying it on. I normally wear large. They say go a size down.

They are correct.

I am 188 and about 5’10” 34” waist. It fits pretty well, I would definitely not want it more loose.

Ok…one complaint. They are a bit tricky to iron. It says cold iron on the instructions but that is worthless. I set it to the lowest steam setting and did very quick passes to make sure there was no scalding. The way they fold the shirts and see them makes some of it a bit tricky. In the future I may just steam it.

Trying it on today the fit is indeed beautiful and it is very lightweight without being sheer. Very cool.
