Don't care. Still haven't got the first stimulus $. Undecided whether to actually chase the IRS for it.

If I hadn’t been such a fiscally irresponsible dope and spent the last check i’d be in the running for a government funded mac10.

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: The actual important part is.... WE CANNOT AFFORD THIS! No one cares. We several years past mathmatically having ability to pay off the debt. Once that reality sets in, does it really matter if you owe few more trillion? I want my current dollars to maintain their value as long as possible. I’m already saying - at 48 years old - things I heard people in their late 70s say when I was a kid. Like, “That car costs as much as my first house!” And it isn’t even a really nice car... Our money has lost a lot of value in just the last 20 years. I would like to level it out a bit. Instead the stalwart conservative in the WH is in a race to outspend the Democrats. The Democrats. $1.00 in 2000 has the same buying power as $1.50 today. 50% in 20 years is no big deal. Nothing to worry about. Please be kidding Today’s dollar purchases about 1/10 of what it did 45 years ago. $10 = $1. |

No politician has lost his position since for over spending. Barely a peep about budgets and debt on any campaign trail. |

Quoted: Controlled inflation is a feature not a bug. Your problem is that you try to save money instead of building wealth. Controlled inflation is a feature not a bug. Your problem is that you try to save money instead of building wealth. 100% bullshit that was invented out of whole cloth. The government creates inflation to steal your purchasing power in order to use it themselves, and also to reward those that are in bed with them. Inflation is a tax, and it screws over normal people who want to save money. Futhermore, if you buy assets with your money to try and beat inflation, when you sell those assets the government is going to take a big chunk as capital gains taxes, even if there were no actual capital gains but only asset price inflation due to the monetary inflation that they themselves created. |

i like money.
why stop at $3400? why not $34,000? or $340,000? or $3.4 million? its not like they consider it real money anyway, or are actually planning on paying that debt off. they are spending money like a 80 year old man on social security who just bought a new house on a 30 year contract. someone might pay it off, EVENTUALLY, but he wont have to worry about it. 1. The US government is going to go broke 2. They will continue to print money and send it out 3. Somebody somewhere is going to get that money 4. Might as well be me |
