-$1,000 MP5s with good reviews
-$300-400 forged 1911s with good reviews -All sorts of other cheap copies that add to the options for a gun buyer who’s experiencing some financial stress. I think the lower and mid level gun manufacturers might be starting to get a little worried at this point. |

The exchange rate is crazy right now, that’s the main reason why everything is gotten so ridiculously cheap from Turkey

Centerfire rifles and HK clones seem fine. The pistols are hit and miss. Shotguns are pure garbage. The ammo seems fine - sometimes stinky.
Turkish Lira is down 90% in the last 10 years. 70% in the last two. |

I picked up a 870 clone to try and it ended up being better than anything Remington put out since 2005 or so. I liked it so much that I bought five - they were only $79 each. Complete parts compatibility except for the ejector bar. Everything else is identical. |

Kinda like CSMC makes great shotguns and the USA also produces hi points. Yildiz, CZ, ATA all seem to be pretty well regarded. Hatsan, not so much. |

Turkey listens to Gun buyer.
Turkey … “You want another HK clone? We got ya.” HK “No soup for you!” |

I really want an MP5/10 .... clone or otherwise. 10mm PCC is my next get one way or another.

I liked the caniks I shot....I think my cz shotgun is from turkey and it's never let me down

I will readily admit I am jaded. My only experience with anything Turkish was a CZ712 about 20 years ago, and it was the biggest piece of shit I have ever touched. I should revisit the entire idea....that Girsan Hi-Power with the rail does look nice.

Remember the Fake Coup in Turkey, where they rounded up the opposition party?
I remember watching that on live TV. |

So what are the details on the sub $1000 turkish mp5 that's worth getting? brand, model etc. I haven't kept up.

2 CZ o/u shotguns here.
Great shooters with no issues for all the years they've been shot at doves, ducks, and geese. |

When are we going to see the G3's? I thought MKE was going to start doing them?
HK “No soup for you!” View Quote True, but when it comes to the 91 and 93, I don't think HK has the tooling anymore. The SP5 is probably here because the MP5 tooling was still there and sales were probably shit, so someone got a bright idea. HK Germany is the problem, HK USA is gtg. I wouldn't be surprised if SIG tried to buy HK at some point, HK-Germany isn't doing well financially. I'm not saying it will happen, I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised. They had some reason they couldn't sell the MP7, I don't know if it holds water though. |

Link to Turk MP-5 at $1k?
A 9mm carbine that actually has soft recoil would be super cool for women, or the gender confused, or children to shoot, or as an alternative to the 10/22 for plinking. |

Quoted: I have a gen 1 bobwhite in 20. Well made, well balanced, great triggers. View Quote Mine is also 20ga. I love the fit and finish and handling. It shoots where I think, once I learned sxs. As for durability, I'm at the point of confidence that my grandchildren will be killing birds with this gun. |

Turkey has right around 250 firearm manufacturers. Some of the guns they make are really nice. The SDS copy of the 870 is virtually identical to an 870. You can buy 4 of them for the price of an 870.

I’d like to try this Turqua from ATA. Adjustable comb is very appealing for fit along with spacers for LOP. $769 locally. I think I’ll wait until the prices come down and mags are available.

I have several guns made by either Huglu or CZ(which is also Huglu from what I can tell)
just bought a CZ Field Supreme 28gauge over/under for Christmas. Ridiculously good looking and handling gun for about 1500. I'm holding a CZ Redhead field grade 28 right now that I'll sell cause the new one is way better. My dad has a friend named Mark DeHaan who was importing Huglu and other shotguns from Turkey under his brand name, DeHaan. They are amazingly good shotguns for the money. As Turkish gun makers have adopted CNC, their quality capability has gone way up, and they are using US and European designers. Great guns |

GD in Holosun Threads: Who cares if Holosun is 2-3 generations more advanced than Trijicon or Aimpoint, their optics are about as reliable, much cheaper, and have features you can't get from a Western company? They're enemies of America.

Where do I find the $70 shotty?
Also a mp10 sounds like a good idea. |

I would happily buy American made 870s instead. I do buy older used Wingmasters and other decent examples of well made 870s of any type. Modern Remington shotguns - from the past couple of decades - are frankly awful. Poor fit and finish. Functionality issues. Rusting problems while still brand new. I'm ashamed that they're so poorly made that many budget imports from Turkey are better in every way - but that's the reality of the situation. Quoted: Where do I find the $70 shotty? Also a mp10 sounds like a good idea. $79 but they were on sale since he got a deal. I bought them locally but I've seen them all over the place online usually for $100 plus or minus $20. |

Where did you learn your geography? Being an Ohioan, and having been all over Turkey, they aren’t remotely comparable in size!
And Istanbul, alone, far outpaces Ohio’s population. |

I'm really happy with my 1911 "Tanker/Commander" and I hear that they do a pretty good clone of a Beretta "Cheetah" too (It's on my "To Buy" list).

Now if they'd just start importing the HK33K clone and maybe a G3K clone since PTR isn't making them any more.
