That dispatcher reminds me of my control officer on the night shift. Twice in the past couple months I've had to fight inmates and called for assistance in the middle of the fight and like a boss he comes over the radio controlling the scene and telling which officers to respond and what night. First one, guy was high on K2 and another officer in the scuffle OC'd me point blank while I was taking the inmate down. The second, I had the dude balled up on the floor and he began kicking me in the head. I took the means necessary, and thankfully no cameras to get control of him, but that was a long 45 seconds. He was also high and had been in my holding cell outside the LT office when he threw up all over himself. So I pulled him out and was trying to ride it out til 6am when psych and medical arrived. At 530 the UOF happened. Almost made it. But, seriously, that dispatch was on point. Guys like him should be leading CPD.

Outright lie. A friend of mine was the Staff in charge there. There’s a whole backstory that you obviously don’t know, not that it would matter- what they were told about interacting with the public (he disobeyed orders and got coined by senior leadership for it), how at least one of his guys reacted to seeing someone who’s obviously dead land at their feet, and how they dealt with all of that while simultaneously working out whether or not to detain minors at the scene of a crime.  That was the same unit that was dodging bricks and fireworks all summer.

Apparently an edgy-thot from DePaul decided to post a video of herself vandalizing an Officer Anna French memorial in the State of Illinois building.   She tore off a photo of Ofc. French from the display, wadded it up and tossed it in a shitcan. Several hours later, she realized that she may have misunderestimated the kind of response she was going to elicit and went full minitruth.

CWBchicago posted the story, but didn't name her because the woman scrubbed her trail.  However, a different site, TB Daily (never heard of them) got a pretty good starter kit going (eye bleach advisory) before she could memory hole herself.
