Looks like rain will be coming through tonight so I'll bet our practice will be canceled.
Doesn't surprise me. Seems it always happens. |

It isn't so bad Definitely makes gear changes 87 times better though View Quote Live with a QC for just one season and you will fucking hate 9" axles. And there is not one good reason for any of these sanctioning bodies to not allow the QC on any class of car that currently is allowed a 9". It's modular so repairs are easier (can just change a tube or bell in 30 minutes if you're fucking off and not rushing it) and gear sets are a fraction of the price. *sigh* Off my soapbox now. Sorry... |

Had one in my late model QC's can get spendy View Quote Well, yeah. You can definitely spend a lot on one if you want to. Billet covers and hubs, thermal coated magnesium centers, low drag bearings and torsen diffs. Late Models aluminum tubes are more expensive than steel tubes that a Mod would run, too. We've won many races on a old ass steel tube Frankland with cast hubs and cover, full spool with aluminum center and bells. Only refreshed it once in 4 years and bought it used for $500. The new car came with a Tiger that had all of the bells and whistles but if I had built up from a frame I would have bought another cheap used one. I think all that other shit might help at a national touring level running 75+ nights/yr but for a local Sat night guy it's definitely a waste of $$$. |

In a B-mod I would rather run a nine inch, if given the choice, it takes less horsepower to turn compared to a QC. VRM it suks to hear about the rain on practice day. Always good to shake the down the car before the first race. You were talking about running with the A-mods earlier, do you have a four barrel carb to put on and do that?
|

Hell yeah VRM, my roommate raced Sprint cars for a long time, I love dirt track racin
