Sorry guys, I've looked and looked and can't find it, it was not on my device when it was shown to me, all I remember is that it was around a minute or so long on a live state feed that got cut off. Maybe it was ozoned.

I remember seeing some long-beared guy shouting out, the VSP lining-up, Philip Van Cleave standing up with a WTF look on his face, and committee members running to their exit and peeking around the door (a woman) then the feed stopped.

It does kinda make you wonder what we really gain by these peaceful protests.  On the one hand, we show that we are responsible, law-abiding citizens that won't lash out like our radical lefty counterparts.  On the other hand, we show that we are responsible, law-abiding citizens that won't lash out like our radical left counterparts.

The left is more intimidated by five hundred BLM thugs armed with bricks than they are by FIFTY-THOUSAND gun owners waving rifles. If five hundred hood rats surrounded the capital the Governor would personally hand them stacks of cash through the fence and vow immediate surrender to whatever they demanded. And it has NOTHING to do with political correctness.

The rule of law was broken long ago.

With American cities deciding to not prosecute illegal immigrants, while some even aiding illegal immigrants, we have no rule of law.

The law is the law. You can't selectively choose which laws to live by.

If the liberal cities can ignore law on illegal immigration why should someone who lives in rural Virginia have to obey by the law these assholes passed?

But I'd like to see gun manufacturer's and ammo companies private vendors tell the state of Virginia and the Leo's in counties that aren't sanctuary gun county's to pound sand

No new firearms or repairs

No magazines except what us peasants get to buy

No ammo sales

I don't like it when they make it so you can't dispose of your own property.

My reading of this revised version is that you can gift an assault firearm to a family member and that the executor of a will / estate can transfer (only transfer, NOT SELL) to a beneficiary. There is no provision to allow one to sell to a licensed dealer or to an out of state buyer.

§ 18.2-308.9 (A) also states:

"Assault firearm" includes any part or combination of parts designed or intended to convert,
418 modify, or otherwise alter a firearm into an assault firearm, or any combination of parts that may be readily
419 assembled into an assault firearm. "Assault firearm" does not include (i) a firearm that has been rendered
420 permanently inoperable, (ii) an antique firearm as defined in § 18.2-308.2:2, or (iii) a curio or relic as
421 defined in § 18.2-308.2:2.

That definition would make a machine gun, which can be readily assembled into a semi automatic meeting the other criteria, fall into the category.

These two sections, when combined, basically means if you own machine guns in VA you can never sell them so long as you remain a VA resident, and your heirs can inherit them but not sell them if they are also VA residents.

It gave me a freaking headache. From it's despotic content to the eye strain and scramble to follow all the little changes.

Chasing around all the little amendments to other statutes that it affects and stuff like changing from "Shall" to "Is", strikethroughs, it's crazy.

I don't like when they change "Shall" to "Is".  Not a lawyer, but "shall" and "may" are important words.  "Is" and other changes like it bother me, but I don't know why.

Unless they make it illegal to bring them out of state, they would be powerless to have any enforcement to prevent you from selling them once you are out of state. Because if you went out of state to ship or sell to FFL dealer, you would not be under Virginia law at the time.

This:
"Assault firearm" includes any part or combination of parts designed or intended to convert, modify, or otherwise alter a firearm into an assault firearm, or any combination of parts that may be readily  assembled into an assault firearm. "Assault firearm" does not include (i) a firearm that has been rendered permanently inoperable, (ii) an antique firearm as defined in § 18.2-308.2:2, or (iii) a curio or relic as defined in § 18.2-308.2:2.

coupled with this:
2. A semi-automatic center-fire rifle that expels single or multiple projectiles by action of an explosion of a combustible material that has the ability to accept a detachable magazine and has one of the following characteristics: (i) a folding or telescoping stock; (ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the rifle; (iii) a second handgrip or a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand; (iv) a grenade launcher; (v) a flare launcher, (vi) a silencer; (vii) a flash suppressor; (viii) a muzzle brake; (ix) a muzzle compensator; (x) a threaded barrel capable of accepting (a) a silencer, (b) a flash suppressor, (c) a muzzle brake, or (d) a muzzle compensator; or (xi) any characteristic of like kind as enumerated in clauses (i) through (x).

Would seem to make every folding/telescoping stock, pistol grip, silencer, flash suppressor, threaded barrel, etc. Into a banned item by itself.

I suppose you could argue those parts are not "designed or intended to" change a firearm into an assualt firearms, as they are not designed/intended ONLY to be used on semi-automatic center-fire rifles with detachable magazines, and could be used on bolt actions, etc. But it is at least ambiguous as to whether such parts alone would be "assault firearms" and banned from sale.

I find my distrust, and dislike for cops is coming full circle.

In my late teens and early 20s I pretty much hated them. By the time I was 32 or so that had flipped. Now that I'm 45, the circle is turning again, snd frankly after seeing some things as of late, especially today, I think I'm hitting that fulcrum point again.

I mean I just can't trust or like that. Would they have been so pushy if we were armed? I certainly didn't see any pushing around on the 20th.

I get that there are "some" on our side. But frankly, the more I see, the less I think those numbers are.
