VIrginia Capitol and State Police Eject Citizens from House Committee after assault weapon ban vote |

Quoted: Better yet, the VSP could do sting operations like they do in CA. Plain clothes troopers or paid informants could watch at gun stores just over the border and call in the car description, license plate, and description of the drivers and passengers and uniform troopers could pull them over just after they cross the line back into VA. I wish you people in VA the best of luck with this mess. I think we will see this on the national level the next time the socialists are in the majority in both houses of Congress and in the White House. View Quote And then gun owners will start making thousands of 911 calls, they want chaos people can bring chaos. VSP doesn't want the full Iowa treatment.... |

So is this the last time they cross the line, or are we going to redraw it for the 100th "last time" ? Are we not supposed to point out the futility of what's been done so far? What exactly are people from Virginia looking for from outside here? Said as somebody who has been told to move to a free state for the last few years. |

I've made it abundantly clear not just here but everywhere the topic gets raised in my "real life" that not only will I not comply but I will continue to use my newly banned weapons at the range, in my holster, wherever and whatever I so choose because it is my God given right. They don't like it? Too damn bad. I intend to be very, very public about my non-compliance and hope others join me. And, I don't give a hoot in hell who reads me saying so. Did you really think that would have any impact on the outcome? Seriously. A month ago I was pointing out in other VA threads that NYS counties were passing anti SAFE resolutions and it had absolutely no impact on the outcome. I was basically told that VA would be different. In the end there is no difference. Your rural low population counties are having state law dictated to you by a handful of high population urban counties whose residents probably think of their country cousins as embarrassing hicks. Same as NYS To my fellow Virginians: I think that Virginians (if the hammer falls and the Bill is signed into law) need to keep their own council and not communicate any 2A goings-on (legal or extralegal) with those who you do not trust....Much less here on this site as many members here are not our friends and will dime us out in a heartbeat. We are at the talking/persuading stage now.....That's over if/when the bill is signed into law and Virginians have to move forward with other efforts both legal and perhaps extralegal. I'm just saying to choose your confidants wisely going forward. To that end some random chest-beater trying to egg you on here on this site might not be the best person to confide in nor divulge any of your plans to. As far as those types go they can eat static as I won't be baited. |

I have a good idea. Why don't you guys have another rally where you willingly disarm yourselves on the illegal order of a tyrant? And then voluntarily walk into a cage being over-watched by government snipers. I'm sure they'll change their mind this time. View Quote |

The things the petty tyrant wannabes and their JBT lackeys fail to understand is that every one of these insults to the law abiding will come back to bite them in the ass multi-fold. They are giving ample reasons for people to get fed up with their antics. Think of it as an old school principal's ledger where every one of their stupid antics adds demerits to their column. If the column gets too large, punishment will follow. The magnitude of that punishment will be sized by the number of demerits they themselves earned. Too bad their ego/arrogance isn't allowing them to see it. |

This: coupled with this: Would seem to make every folding/telescoping stock, pistol grip, silencer, flash suppressor, threaded barrel, etc. Into a banned item by itself. I suppose you could argue those parts are not "designed or intended to" change a firearm into an assualt firearms, as they are not designed/intended ONLY to be used on semi-automatic center-fire rifles with detachable magazines, and could be used on bolt actions, etc. But it is at least ambiguous as to whether such parts alone would be "assault firearms" and banned from sale. I thought the meeting was in a government building which is ' public ' property and not a private building which would be private property. My point is, how do the police have authority to arrest the public in a public building for trespassing when said building belongs to the public? Not a legal eagle here but just a random thought.

If you’re that defeated and demoralized at an individual level, it’s best to forget about the outside world and just focus on your personal happiness. Honestly though, your type of behavior usually comes from someone that has some emotional investment in the subject, but can’t see a path to winning and hasn’t been offered a compelling vision of a way to find one. So I’m not going to attack you, because ultimately it’s more of a critique directed at me. |

I see Sam Rasoul is one of the Dems on the committee. He tried to get elected in Botetourt County and got spanked, so he moved to Roanoke City to get elected. Kind of like Chris Hurst moving to the New River Valley before running. He started running when he was like 28 or so. I wonder if his kids go to private school?
