The state AG is very pro gun. He stopped by my office one time and we bullshitted about guns and other things. But in the end, this is a court order. Not much he can do. I get court orders all the time allowing me access to LEO personnel files, w/ all sorts of personal things. In some instances I'm ordered not to share with my clients.

And if any of the info got out, or was misused, it'd be my ass. Also, usually the order requires the info to be destroyed after the case is resolved.

Still though, some CA scumbag lawyer and his SJW clients. I wouldn't want him to have my SSN, or anything else.

You just play their own game of legal gymnastics. I don't know, I could think of a few things. Invasion of privacy type stuff. Not range access, but the disclosure and use of your private information. You don't have to win in the end. Just sue them and start sending subpoenas around for their things and maybe take their depositions and give them some of their own medicine.

eta: easiest would be just to intervene into the existing lawsuit. But, you'd spend money, so you'd have to be motivated by principle.

WV state court judges are elected every 8 years. And for the most part are lazy. I doubt this judge is putting that much thought into it. They try to solve problems by splitting it somewhere down the middle. They hope the parties settle. And if they don't resolve it, a couple of years down the road they'll actually start looking at the law and the facts and end up doing something one way or the other.

Let's be honest, every election I have to fill out a ballot that includes a ton of elected judges. How the heck do I, as a regular Joe who has little to no court interaction, know which ones are good and bad? Sometimes there aren't even election websites for these folks so I can see what values they (claim) to uphold, or groups endorse them. Its not feasible for me to research and read the rulings of every court that has an elected judge.

I don't know if there's any sort of recall. Not that I've ever heard of. Judges can be removed for ethical misconduct, as recently happened when one got caught trying to frame his secretary's husband. He went to prison though, so I don't think that was a difficult removal.

That's a good question. In WV, you're talking about mostly rural. So everyone knows who the judges are and generally what they're about. For bigger areas with more judges, I don't know. This is going to be the new battleground, so time to start figuring it out.

Same thing happened here where I live. Guy moves near our local range and then makes complaint after complaint about the range.

While his son was a member of the local baseball team, houses near the baseball field were complaining their houses were getting hit by foul balls. I remember him saying that they should have

known what would happen when they built a house right behind the diamond..but cannot link that to himself and shooting range. Probably hates guns.
