Subject of post says it all. What PCC in 9mm should I look at? Less then $1k new

Sub2k
Cheap enough to let you see even if you like a 9mm carbine without getting too invested and cheap enough to not care about if you don't like the gun itself. |
|
MP5K or a MP5 is any have dropped below a K
I know the MKE bare muzzle K is 900ish now |

I dig the KP9 as something different from everything else in the collection.
Ditched the brace, but its a fun little PCC Attached File |

What do you want to do with it? It's easy to just point you in the direction of the MP5, but if you want to run it in a modern configuration, it's pretty easy to end up over a grand once you factor in parts and accessories.
Also what handguns do you mainly use? If you can get something with cross mag compatibility, that's added value right off the bat. |

ruger pc9 in magpul backpacker stock. stores in a 10x22inch case can use ruger or glock mags with a spare in the stock. pistol grip will accommodate a very useful victorinox Swiss army knife. capacity ranging from 10-33rds.

Quoted: As an aside my Henry 357 has been one of my favorite guns to use the last year Its not 9mm But if you can find one its right around that price as a base gun unless they went up https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/161977/20231105_171434-3017908.jpg View Quote How's that mechanism for stock removal work? I assume it is tool-less? |

Beretta Storm carbine. Lightweight, perfect for family members, can be shot with one hand if necessary, accurate and very dependable. 30 round magazines available.

AR - look at the S&W AR9 is $800ish
Non-AR - CZ Scorpion, That Berelli B&T is a good deal, MP5 clone at PSA, KP9, I have a home brewed AR9 race gun, well over $1500, but is bad ass. I love it. Bearing delayed buffer makes it a soft shooter. Otherwise, AR9s have a lot of recoil. It is hard to pass up a Scorpion at todays prices. Be prepared for a not great trigger. Lots of support, mags and parts. PCCs are fun and cheap shooters. Get one. Lots of matches allow them and there are pure PCC matches these days. Good SD/HD for the wife. |

I own six 9mm SBR's and the three most shot are the MKE AP5-P, KP9 and Scorpion. Next is Banshee. Last is PC Charger, but not because its least favorite. It's just that Glock mags are a bitch to load versus double stack ones.
Scorpion and Ruger are stupid accurate. |
|
Scorpion is awesome. I think PSA has been pimping them for less then $800 last few weeks. The trigger upgrade made mine massively better. Getting that first nut off the stock trigger pack is a bitch thou.

I also hate the factory grip and safety. |

PSA AR9 with Glock lower when it goes on sale. Its not exotic, its not fancy, but it makes holes.

I just bought a 9mm WASR AK from palmetto. My 7.62 AK are getting expensive to feed. Got the 9mm to play with should have it this week. Takes glock mags. $613 shipped.

Hey OP, Check out the Mat-9 by Matador arms, you can build one for under a grand, as you probably have a spare AR lower laying around.
www.matadorarms.com All self contained upper, so you can have a folding stock, side charging non-reciprocating charging handle, accepts any 9mm magazine you can fit into an AR lower. Attached File |

Budget minded:
Scorpion can be done for that, with patience, get one cheap and a stamp for $1K. Attached File |

I do like the cz's, but I have a foxtrot mike that uses glock mags I like a lot. Real fun to shoot and I put a folder on it. Pistol red dot and metal targets make music.

View Quote I have one, it’s a very short carbine and is accurate and reliable. As far as the su2000, I have one of those too and it’s easily my most regretted gun purchase. Most uncomfortable awkward and painful thing I’ve ever shot. |

This is something I am contemplating as well. Right now I'm leaning towards an 8" CMMG Banshee upper (or DIY with their barrel/bolt) to use on whatever lower I want, and then run theor 9mm endomags. This would give a relatively affordable delayed blowback action for recoil and suppressability, and it would also be compatible with a plethora of AR triggers including binary or potentially FRT after Rare Breed wins in court.
