Hard to say, Mario series probably followed by Mega Man series.

I'm not sure. Probably Kirby, but maybe an RPG. FF1, DQ, and Crystalis have to all rate.

|
Probably a tie between Mario and Contra.
ETA: forgot about Zelda. |

MegaMan
BubbleBobble Super Marios The racers like RC ProAm(fuck that yellow car cheating fuckwit) and the statium truck game. |

Quoted: contra zelda(s), tho not II that one sucked super mario(s) metal gear View Quote Zelda II was a SOB. Never could beat it back then. Bought one of the mini NES things and beat it a few years ago with the help of the internet. I miss the old games that were basically impossible without cheating. |

Hard to say. Mario, Zelda, mega man, blaster master were all top contenders

I played a lot of NES back in the early to mid 90s. Top game has to be Zelda.

Its hard to remember.

Golf. By a long way. We would play 1 on 1 and winner stays, loser gives up their spot. We'd do this all day.

Quoted: I could never get into Zelda on NES. Zelda on SNES is a different story. View Quote Zelda on NES might have been a big deal Zelda on SNES was simply genre defining. The impact that series left (ALTTP and OoT especially) can hardly he overstated, not to say anything of the many other great games. |

View Quote I see that picture, and the music is in my head now lol Edit lol Nes Blaster Master Soundtrack |

Thought that was the Konami game with the jeeps for a second. Spent a bunch of time on that one. (Edit: Jackal, for those keeping score at home.) But yeah, Contra, like everyone else. |
|
Super Mario Bros 3
Close 2nd place would be Zelda (with the gold cartridge). I think I learned to read because of that game. |

Baseball
In 1994 when they canceled the World Series my buddy and I played one game a night until one of us won the World Series. I never watched professional sports after that either. |

Zelda (OG)
Dragon Warrior Tecmo Bowl Tyson's Punch Out Ice Hockey |

Has to be Super Mario 3.
I had a fancy combo with the running pad and gun that was NES not SNES right? We had some fun with whatever Track and Field game came with it. |
|
Mario, Punch Out, Ninja Turtles and some weird Dirt Bike racing game.
It’s really hard to say, but I was a little gamer back then after school |
|
I would say Super Mario Bros IIRC. I could zip through it in my sleep. I was damn good at Mike Tyson's Punchout.

Iron Tank
The best game on the NES. It was a vertical scroll shooter with multiple paths to take. You had to be surgical as well. You had different types of ammo for your tank, and it was in limited supply. |
