The 90's was one of the worst decades for movies.  Ask the franchises how they know.

Of course, there's no way anything else in the franchise could stand up to the first one given that it won the Academy Award for the best movie ever made.

Every Star Trek after 4.

V could have been good but it needed one last rewrite.

VI was "The Federation was wrong to fight the Klingons to ensure freedom."

The Next Gen films were just Picard is an action hero with CHI space battles and no real.story beyond the tired old Revenge trope.

Star Trek 5 was a turd in every time line.

Edit: and Star Trek 4 was not nearly as good as everyone acts like it is.

I'm not saying ST5 was good It was far from it. But the basic story was there. Religious fanatic hijacks the Enterprise and leads the crew on an adventure to find God. It should have been epic. And it had some great scenes. McCoy pulling the plug on his father. Spock's birth and Sarek's "so human" disappointment. Kirk "I need my pain." "What does God need with a starship?" The scene with the ship's wheel. I t just needed a good writer to tighten up the script (and Paramount to give him an actual budget to work with).

It and TMP were the two movies most like the TV show.

Totally agree about Quantum.

That said; I think I’m the only one here in GD who loved ‘Skyfall’. James Bond’s walking away from the life, Ralph Fiennes’s character introduction, the end of Mrs. M. I even loved Javier Bardem’s over the top villain.

Plus, Naomie Harris & Berenice Mahrole scratch several eye-candy spots for me quite nicely.

The MI films were the worst because they A) made Jim Phelps the bad guy and B) ignored the whole thing where the MI team went out of its way to not be noticed in favor of explosions aplenty.

The three Hobbit movies directed by Peter Jackson.

If PJ had stopped after The Return of the King, I would have forever respected the man.  What he did with the Hobbit movies is unforgivable.

The 1977 cartoon version of The Hobbit was far superior to what PJ did!!

Terminator 4. Not just bad in the series, but one of the worst ever movies written.

Boondocks Saints 2
It was Hollywoodized. It just had to be made bigger and flashier than the original.
As far as Romeo, he could have been far better used. Instead he was a clownish character.
And having been sent on a mission from God, they quit for 10 years.
Really?

Live and Let Die is way better than QoS, because it wasn't boring.  QoS is boring a stupid, with "stakes" that nobody cares about, no real point, no character development and no fun action.   LaLD is cheesy and terrible, but it has a point, stakes that you can care about, and some characters you might also care about - plus some fun action.
