My truck is on its last legs, and as much as I'd love to get a new one, i can't justify a 50k truck to drive to work 90% of my time.
Driven milage would be around 10k year Budget would be around 25-30k? Obviously lower the better.. Needs to be a 4 door car since i have 3 kids. It would be cool if it would pull a pop up camper, but if not.. it is what it is New car shopping blows ass |

Camry or Accord is the answer you'll get the most. I recently got my wife a 2018 Accord with the 2.0T. It's really nice and has tons of room in the back. I'm 6'2" and can sit in the back seat comfortably.

You can usually keep a toyota up to 300k miles without too many issues.
That said and for a commuter I'd look for a used camry under 100k miles, spend half your budget and invest the rest. |

Gas econobox? Good one; civic or fit Cheaper; kia or hyundai. Honda fit was honestly one of the best all around vehicles i ever had other than being gutless and unsafe.

I went with a 2016 MANUAL focus. Emphasis on manual as the autos have issues.
Paid 6k summer of 2021. Gets 40mpg on the highway. |

Corolla hatchback
Gas, oil, brakes/tires every few years. Maintenance is virtually nonexistent with Toyota sedans, IMO. |

View Quote Did they stop making them? Great gas mileage, hauled a lot more stuff than I would have guessed. Extremely reliable. But it was slow, loudish. Really I guess that’s my only complaints |

I wouldn't buy a cheap commuter car
I need a diesel truck to haul my equipment |

Why are you taking your 3 kids to work every day. Are you a teacher? Can you ride the bus?

I’d still put a Gadsen Flag on it of something ;) |

Camry is always my answer, in threads like this. I see I'm not alone.

$25-30k gets you a lot of used Lexus ES, possibly even a hybrid (44 mpg on regular gas).

If you plan to trailer anything get a used v6 Accord or Camry.
The V6 Accords are getting up there in miles as Honda went with a turbo I4 as the engine upgrade in the Accord a few years ago. |

I bought a loaded Hyundai Tuscon last year. Plenty of storage space and comfortable. My wife hates it though. I bought it for her so and I was to drive our GX460, but that didn't turn out how I thought it would. Luckily I enjoy the Tuscon.

Seriously? Find the nicest old 4cyl Camry you can. V6 to pull anything. And by old I mean last century or early 2000s. They are incredibly reliable and well made. They will last another 30 years if maintained.
