Somewhere around 1996, I was working in a little hole in the wall computer shop. Ordering stuff was a pain in the ass, amazon rocks. Cash on delivery, f that.

Going from a to b across the country with a giant map that only had interstates and major highways. Luck and land nav for the win.

So much carpet and shitty furniture. It’s worse quality nowadays but the 80s furniture was not just cheap, but ugly and cheap.

Still, it was way better than post 911. Today sucks. And I’m not even a grumpy boomer just a regular gen x guy.
