Trijicon pulled a Surefire move and rode on the coattails of their reputation instead of constantly innovating. Others are either catching up or have caught up. If Streamlight fixes their latch issue then I’d say Surefire needs to watch out as their weapon lights are otherwise just as tough, brighter, and have better beam patterns. And they are a third the price. Two things: 1. If you own 5 SSA's and 5 MBT's, (IMHO) the MBT's are all going to feel the same. The SSA's are not. I attribute this to better Larue manufactoring techniques. 2. My BA barrels stack holes EXACTLY as well as my Noveske SS barrels. |

Parts for the sake of parts, ex. hand stops on rifles with long rails, offset irons/RDS that will snag on stuff, brakes on anything but competition guns, cheap Chinese shit parts and optics. Putting LPVOs on everything because they're "in" when in most cases either a red dot, fixed, or mid/higher powered scope would actually serve the user much better. Gucci/gram guns that don't get used, probably with parts that decrease reliability significantly and a stupid finish.
That said, guess I don't care what you spend or waste your money on, those are just the things that tell me you probably don't actually shoot/hike/move/train with a rifle and you'll be judged accordingly. Also, lately, boomers that want to pay last year's used prices on guns and ammo as if the market hasn't changed dramatically. |

You can spend $400 dollars on a cheap AR and the amount of money in ammo you'll need to spend to utterly break it is way beyond the value you invested in the rifle. We're talking waaaaaaaay more. Gucci Guns are like luxury super cars. Except they really don't do much since the performance is so minuscule. The juice isn't worth the squeeze for the average gun owner. Most people buy an AR and stick it in the closet and shoot less than half a case of steel through it in two years while blasting away at dirt clumps and paper at a distance of 25 yards or less. Are you seriously hitting me with the “Theres only five forges, bro” thing? |
