In the NY area the five boroughs, NY, and CT all vie for the title.
Whoever wins that, wins. Fuck all that other shit. |

Haven’t had St Louis or Detroit. Good NYC pizza makes the best of California pale in comparison amd really Italian food in general. Las Vegas is better than I expected. Chicago definitely good.

Quoted: Good NYC pizza makes the best of California pale in comparison amd really Italian food in general. View Quote The shit of it is that if you go to Italy, it's different. I think pizza has evolved in the USA to where we can call our best versions our own, I don't know that I'd really consider it "Italian" except by inspiration. Kind of goes for that whole menu too, the standard Mulberry Street menu. |

Chunks of hotdog, peppers, onions, taters all fried up proper and then dumped on a pizza. Looked like garbage. Scared the shit out of me. Pizza dude finally said, "here, just try it.." Bought that shit every day I could. Best pizza ever. They were shut down a few years later for drug sales. I had no idea, I just got pizza and a soda, but maybe drugs influenced the first dude to stick that on a pizza. |

So in other words, they are all pizza but just different styles that some prefer one over another. Kind of like chili.

That style pizza is the best I’ve ever had. Sweet sauce on a medium thin crust and loaded with toppings. Blows New York style garbage pizza away. |

Quoted: Real Italian pizza is eaten with a fork and a knife. The only way to eat it by hand is to cut it in half and fold it. Frank Pepe's is probably the closest I've seen to Neapolitan pizza. View Quote I had the white clam pizza from Pepes last summer, first time in 20 years, almost makes me want to move back for that alone, nothing out there is remotely close. Bonus points for the Foxon Park birch beer. |

Laughing at people who don't like kinds of pizza.

Quoted: As a New Yorker now living in Michigan, Detroit style is shit. Buddy's Pizza? New York style is the only real pizza - not a cracker (St. Louis), not a casserole (Chicago), not a greasy lop of shit (Detroit). New York Sicilian style is the best deep/thick pizza. I’m pretty obsessive with making Neapolitan pizza at home, and literally plan vacations around great pizza. But after that style, it’s Detroit all the way. I need to buy some brick cheese this weekend. |

Quoted: Please, show all the "Detroit style pizza" stores all over the country. Then I'll show you the hundreds of NY-style pizza places all over the country. Michiganders have no taste for food. Everything is bland and mild. Spicy food? Yeah, good luck. I'd prefer any greasy spoon joint in any boro of NYC vs any top-rated Michigan View Quote Truth |

I’m from St. Louis. Lived here my whole life except for college. I cannot emphasize this enough. Fuck St Louis style pizza with every fiber of my being. I hate that cardboard they call crust and that coagulated semen they call cheese.
I’d rather someone give me paper cuts on both my eyeballs and my peehole, then starve to death and vote democrat the rest of eternity than eat that shit. |
