China offloading waste product titanium dioxide into the paint (makes it whiter).
See it in houses and businesses being painted as well - everything is white or grey. |
|
I like it.
I think some companies call it khaki. Khaki blue khaki grey etc. |
|
|
Looks cheap.
But it's your money. At least murdered out is dying off. |

Yep, looks like flat primer with a clear coat over it. I for one don't like the look. It will probably go out of style real fast and nobody will want them. Remember Teal colored cars? Can't give them away.

Quoted: Mercedes especially has some really cool matte colors I like. There's a lot of these semi-matte type blues and grays I really like too. One of my current favorites is the Jetta GLI Autobahn in Pure Gray with the black package. https://i.redd.it/sk75s9kicfz41.jpg View Quote bmw too |

how are you guys calling them 'flat' when they're shiny as fuck?

Non metallic colors.
I like them. My next Toyota truck will probably be Army Green. |

At the beginning of it I liked some of the cars that have that scheme , but now it's just overdone.

I see it all the time on Dodges in the ATL. I think it's ugly, but that's just me.

I don't know why someone would drive a small car that is the same color as pavement. It doesn't make sense...

While I'm not keen on the muted colors, I'm equally not keen on the nuclear meltdown greens and safety vest oranges that some performance cars come in.
I'd rather have a gray performance car than a look at me neon green or purple one. |

I like the trend. I especially like that olive green I have been seeing here and there.
As long as it’s not fucking white. Every other car on the road is white |

When I buy a Porsche, the color pictured in the first two about is the color I have settled on. I think it looks really good, shows off the car, I usually get a metallic grey, but I like that color. Chalk is the name of the color.

Nardo Grey GT3s sell for $30,000 more secondhand. I prefer Signal Orange or Carmine Red personally. Or Rosso Corsa Red.

Wife and MIL hate them but I don't mind them, especially the Stealth Grays. The khaki/sand colored ones are blech though.

People in this thread don't know the difference between a flat and a pastel
|

I like it. Will probably end up getting my Ram vinyl wrapped in a shade of it.

Quoted: People in this thread don't know the difference between a flat and a pastel View Quote Ackchually... You don't know what pastel means. Pastel is high lightness, low saturation. Think Easter colors. These colors are non metallic. The only thing that separates a color like Nardo grey from a typical gun metal grey car paint is the absence of metallic flakes or powder. |

Quoted: Splitting hairs, but I always thought of these new paint jobs as just 'non-metallic'. Kinda reminds me of fleet vehicle paints... I like it better than the hideous chrome that boomers seem to love

When I grow up - I want to get a AR-15 that matches my ride....
Think that the Auto Makers are matching the Magpul Colors.... Red |

Looks like tinted primer some use to save on base coat.
Looks like the forgot to finish the paint job. Looks like shit. IMO |
