Do you like them? Would you trust one enough to be a carry gun?
|
|
I've built three and they work fine. I do and have carried one as my CCW. There's a whole huge thread on these.

Made a really nice dedicated 22 cal from an 80%. EDC? No, I’ll stick to a factory gun when my life depends on it.

|
I built one last week and so far I like it a lot, it over all feels better in my hand than my factory g19.

|
If you don't use a factory gun as your carry gun, you will regret it. Factory gun, factory ammo, don't give the courts anymore reason to nail you to the wall.

Are the newest kits thoroughly reliable and debugged?
Are Glock slides / internals the preferred completion parts? |

Decided to build a P80 G17 a few months ago, knew my 14 year old son would be interested in the project as another suppressor host. Bought an inexpensive Swenson slide, a barrel off EE and finished it out with Glock parts. Through 500 rounds or so it’s not missed a beat and is a very comfortable gun for me to shoot. I carry it at times as well.

I personally love mine. Use Glock factory parts and take your time. My latest a 10mm G20. Attached File

Why would anyone build so many guns of the same type? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I built one last week.
I am amazed how easy it was and how well they shoot. I did it all with files and it only took a couple hours. I like it better than my factory G19. |

Quoted: I used to think that same thing. Then there was the George Zimmerman trial. They tried to argue that his choice to carry "Critical Duty" ammo indicated he was some sort of wannabe cop. View Quote |

I have one that I could never get to work right. Maybe it's tolerance stacking or whatever. But it doesn't fit any slide I own (none of my slides are factory gen 3 glock)
