Bi-engine minivan sleeper.
Turbo V6 in front powers the front wheels, compound turbo feeds a V12 in the removed rear seats feeds the rear drive train. Butterfly valve flips between super muffled and straight pipe RWD biased AWD sleeper 9000 |

The easiest way to do any transmission work is to pull the motor Nice! Mine went thru wheel bearings. Actually they all did. I had two SE V6's and one SVT. My SVT was a '98. Wheel bearings suck because they need to be pressed in and out of the knuckle. I learned some tricks there and got it down. Did a water pump once. That was awesome because it runs off a separate little belt from one of the camshafts. It is basically right on top of the engine and takes minutes to change. Plugs weren't too terrible. Brakes were easy. I remember doing an intake manifold gasket on one of them and it wasn't too bad. Never went into the long block or trans. I know I did some other stuff I am forgetting though. |

I know two guys who are serious 2.3T guys that raced them and they were utterly unreliable. I speak from experience. I turbo coupe swapped a 93 notchback Fox and while it was fun on the days it ran, I lived under that fucking car. At least it had the 8.8 so I didn't have to deal with the glass IRS rear end in the Merkur. |

I've always wanted a mid-80's Big benz, like the 500SEL
 and would love to find a 1972 Dodge Dart like my grandma had  Grandma learned to drive when she was in her 60s, after my Grandpa died. My Dad found her a Dodge Dart that looked exactly like this car, but instead of the Slant Six, it was fitted with a 318cid V8 and a three-on-the-tree shifter. When I drove it, I could catch rubber in all three gears,

I want a YJ. Steel box, 4.0 engine, column shift auto, 2 vinyl seats, soft top, half doors, no air, no power steering. Just like I had in the 90's.

Way too many people in this thread don’t understand the premise of the thread. Supposed to be something other people typically don’t want.
I think my biggest oddball “dream” car would be a Volvo C30 Polestar. The regular C30 was just a FWD hatchback with kind of weird looks and no real advantages over cheaper comparable hatches. But the Polestar edition had 400hp and AWD. Would have been a hoot. Unfortunately they didn’t sell well at all, and I was much too young to buy one when they were around, so I doubt I’ll ever see one in person, let alone have a chance to own one. Edit: Seems like I was remembering the prototype, the limited run of 250 that they actually produced ended up only being slightly tuned up, with 250ish hp and still FWD. So I guess I failed, my car doesn’t even really exist (unless the prototype that car magazines actually got to drive still exists somewhere, doubtful). |
