If legit Mexican food, street tacos. Good carnitas is hard to beat.

I'm impressed by the Chile relleno replies. There's a lot of mediocre examples out there.

Chile relleno burrito for the win.

Burrito, it's the cheapest, most calorie-dense meat food ever and so ridiculously easy to make. I can stretch this out for a week with some rice for only $20.

Depends on the restaurant.
If it's Lupe Tortilla - Beef Fajitas, no question.
If it's a middle of the road place -  some combo plate with enchilada, tamales, refried beans, rice
taco shack - beans, egg, cheese, bacon for breakfast or barbacoa for lunch.

If its done correctly then its Al Pastor tacos but its very hard to find.  Most places just chunk up some pork and throw a red sauce in it.

My go to is Chori-Pollo.  Basically thin flat top grilled chicken topped with chorizo and white queso cheese.  Something about the combination of the 3 items just compliments each other well.
