Worrying about magazine and ammo availability for a secondary during a true SHTF is pants on head retarded. I choose the G45 for more realistic reasons but my fighting would almost always be with a an AR15 because handguns suck, rifles are the kings of getting wolverine shit being done.

If the SHTF, I'm stuck with what I have, most likely. I'd want a 1911 of some sort, but I don't have one, so out of what I do have, I'd pick my Hi Power.

My G17, but I really need a light and an RMR. I have a 6.5moa RMR but that's too big for my astigmatism. If I'm going as low key as I can (no rifle or external tac stuff) my G48. No light or red dot there either but at least I have night sights and a lowpro IWB holster for it. I really can't shoot it that well, too small for me.

Glock 17 Gen 5 with a back of a Glock 17 Gen 5 with that backed up by a Glock 17 Gen 5. 2 more Glock 17 Gen 5 handguns just in case the other 3 go down. 60 mags to feed all those Glocks as well. |

I have my belt set up for an M&P 9mm because I shoot it well and it has a light, but truth be told if we’re down to that I’d rather die with my heirloom Baer in my hands.

Out of what I own, A suppressed 22/45 with a RMR. with a close second choice a Suppressed Glock 21 with suppressor height sights and a light. 22/45 edges out for weight to round count. I can carry a lot more 22 than 45 for the same weight. Only downside is mag capacity but mags are small and light weight. A rifle would be my primary weapon.

I'd like to go with a G30S. It has all the attributes of the G21 but in a smaller lighter package. It even uses the same mag.
But it is .45 ACP vice the much more common 9mm so there's that to consider. If I went with a 9mm, it would be the G17. |
