Fucking Chicago. I think even the state capital is in a red county. Shitty state gun laws (I'm surprised they're not markedly worse), shitty taxes and alcohol rules in Chicago. Moving here was one of the worst mistakes of my life. Governors going to jail left and right (fingers crossed for Pritzker and Lightfoot!), millions of horrible, horrible people in Chicago alone.

Half of the spanish/german street and town names are pronounced properly by locals, and half are not. The state is too big to remember them all. The ones that should be easy to pronounce wind up being the ones everyone say wrong (Looking at you Rio Vista!)
