You would need to lower fishing line with life savers on the end to see if there was water at the bottom. Possibly lower a goat into the hole see if it lives or if a telepathic seal creature emerges.

Whats really interesting, they thought all that rock would be dry but they found everything was saturated with water. Like a sponge.

Gives a new meaning to the question of where do all Noahs flood waters go or come from?

If the hole went straight through the earth and you jumped in, you would be free falling back and forth till settling in the center.
I'm guessing it would be a solid 3 days of free fall.

Incorrect - unless the tunnel was drilled precisely down the earth's spin axis, rotational forces would smack you against the hypothetical tunnel walls, slowing you down very quickly, overall. I doubt you'd make one full pass.

Deeper

Drilling began on 24 May 1970 using the Uralmash-4E, and later the Uralmash-15000 series drilling rig, and it became the deepest manmade hole in history in 1979. The 23-centimeter (9 in) diameter boreholes were drilled by branching from a central hole.[1] The deepest reached 12,262 meters (40,230 ft) in 1989, the deepest artificial point on Earth.

Because of higher-than-expected temperatures at this depth and location, 180 °C (356 °F) instead of the expected 100 °C (212 °F), drilling deeper was deemed unfeasible. The unexpected decrease in density, the greater porosity, and the unexpectedly high temperatures caused the rock to behave somewhat like a plastic, making drilling nearly impossible

Say we were able to drill a 5 ft hole to the center of the earth.

What would happen?

Would whats evers in the core of the earth spew out?

Or would it be more like a vacuum, sucking up whatever comes within 200ft of said 5ft hole?

Or maybe something else would happen?

What would happen?

You'd evenutally reach China and one (or all) of the following will happen:

1) Commies will spill out
2) Cheap plastic shit will fall out
3) Some nasty invasive insect will crawl out and wreak yet more havoc on the trees and other flora and fauna native to North America.

Please don't dig a hole to ChiYna

This is what I'm expecting.

I wonder if all the juice would squirt out, would the earth's rotation then become unstable?

I also wonder if it would just ooze out or squirt with unimaginable force?
