Gonna be taking some young’uns shooting for the first time.

Thought it would be fun to change it up a bit.

Give me an idea for a steampunk handgun.

A Pietta lemat reproduction.

A rhino is more cyberpunk than steampunk. Steampunk is old shit covered in brass dongles and pipes. Cyberpunk is ghost in the shell high tech mixed with matebas.

The broom handle listed below is also a good steampunkish choice.

Also, bergman-bayard.

Steyr Hahn M1912

I always wanted to shoot a qual with one so I could load with stripper clips...

ETA: Steyr Roth 1907 is pretty Steampunk too...

Alternatively, Cyberpunk;

I always thought the Beretta Neos would make for a good futuristic/Cyberpunk stand-in;

Steyr-Hahn or Frommer Stop would be cool. Or maybe a Borchardt.

Nope. Knowing what Steampunk is, is exactly the kind of stupidity that guys who STAY in their house and play with their joystick know. It is the outlier. It is not mainstream.

Honestly the guns kids think are the coolest are the really old ones (BP revolvers) or the ones from video games.  The rest are just meh to them.

I would do this but they’re really hard to find in reasonable condition or price.
Don’t have a lot of time to get it before range day.

Frankly, the ultimate steampunk guns are a 1911 and a broom handle Mauser.

The Broomhandle was steampunk before there was steampunk.  The Borchardt would be another good choice.  So would the Gyrojet.  An XP-100 with a huge scope would be OK, too.

1911

You don't even need to add fake gears to it... it's close enough to that era after all.

It's Victorian fantasy.

You know steamships that fly in the sky. Guys in pith helmets. Plasma, ray, and tesla guns mixed in.

I think it's cool.

Imagine if the industrial revolution had stuck with steam power instead of utilizing electricity.  Now add an alternative/punk element.

Astra model 600.

The most steampunk rifle would be a Swiss Vetterli, but feeding is not convenient.

I can't think of anything that hasn't been covered here already. The Steyr Hahn, Broomhandle Mauser and Webley-Fosbury are legit steampunk. A rhino is the best you can find on short notice.

There’s a member here that used to post steampunk fairly regularly. His avatar is him in goggles on a motorcycle. Cannot remember his screen name.
