The F-15 has been around for a longggggg time, and it still can kick ass.
OP is not wrong. |

Nothing wrong at all with the airframe and with updated radarm, sensors and electronics the EX will serve well for a long time. 20000 hour rated air frame life is nothing to sneeze at.

Best for what purpose?
Everyone has their favorites. But best... That depends on the job that needs to be done. Heck the way the USAF is going these days they are planning on replacing everything with a modern day version of the Mig21. That should be more than enough to keep the peasants tending their turnips. |

The F15 is awesome, and my favorite fighter for sure... but that A10 holds a special place in my heart too.

I suppose if the weather is CAVU, its daylight, the other guy is blind & his rader sucks, then yea, edge to the Eagle with an Air Force pilot.

The perfect combat record says a lot about the USAF, its pilots and the total war environment they create.
High speed and 2 turbines is nice and allows for the ability to get to a base if something goes wrong. Amazing we make jets that do not have 2 turbines and cost over $100 million each. Plus the F-22 looks like a duck. |

The F-22 is probably the best fighter ever made.
The F-14 has the best kill ratio (thanks to and if you believe Iran) The F-15 is probably the best bang for the buck. |

Would you believe me if I told you I’ve had strike eagles flying dca cap for an MQ-9?

The F15 is a girls fighter Jet. The F14 ,, Now that is a mans fighter jet.

And the F-22 will rape any legacy fighter F-14/15/16/18, every day of the week, without breaking a sweat. But yeah, the F-15 has a storied combat history and is a great aircraft. |

Fantasizing about an F15 and a F14 getting it on, gives me a freedom boner.

New radar appears to be the bees knees.

And it’s got a strong chance to come around again as the F-15EX II.

I grew up watching them fly over often. But I still like hogs the best for fucking shit up

I remember building a model of the Strike Eagle.
America Fuck Yeah |

Only the C version. No need for CFT and and dead weight in the back. Not a pound for air to ground!

If I was going to design a plane, it'd be the F-15 with an A-10 gun on it too.
