Kirk is the only sane answer.

All the others are sanctimonious social justice pussies.

Someone else mentioned it.  The uniforms aboard Kirk's ship were the best uniforms for women crewmembers.

Picard only because a pussy like him would leave more green gals for me.

Janeway. So I could meet 7 of 9.
I met Jeri Ryan back when she was still married and before she leaked the details of her divorce, against a court order, which hurt her ex-husband's run against Obama for the IL US Senate seat in 2004.  We have her to blame.  She was rather rude and dismissive when I dealt with her, IMHO.  You can tell the character of a person by the way they treat persons they don't have to be nice to.  You can keep her.
No, she didn't. @ziarifleman set me straight on this years ago.
Yeah, if anyone is to blame for that it's that fucking judge or her ex-husband.

Kirk if I wanted his sloppy seconds and had no fear of dying.
Sisko in reality because he cared about his crew more than anyone other than Janeway and well, the Sisko had no fucks to give.

Kirk.  Throw the man into any pile of shit and he will turn it into victory.

ETA Picard is winning?? WTF? Must be a buncha Millennial Wesley-humping soyboys voting for him. He is a Brit with a French name, which is even weaker than being Canadian. Shame on you people who voted for Picard.

None of them. They always shoot second, and usually after a deck has been wiped out. None of them use any scout ships or escorts. Serving with those captains is suicide, unless you're one of the co-stars.

For the love of warp drive.  PICARD is leading in the pole.  Captain "Earl Grey....hot" Pickard?   Jesus H. Christ.

James Tiberius KIRK.  He was 'Murican.  He drove a Corvette in his early years.  Three words : Flying.  Leg.  Kick.  AND he impregnated half a galaxy.

Pickard isn't worthy to towel the sweat off of Kirk's nuts.

Pickard?  You crazy kids and your silly ideas.

Yeah, they did. A reporter convinced the judge to unseal them "in the public interest" over BOTH Ryans' objections. I don't blame her a bit for being pissed off at her husband dragging her to a sex club and trying to get her to perform on strangers.

ETA: I'm changing my vote to Sisko. He had the only pimp hand of any captain, worthy of being called a pimp hand. Picard sucked at everything, including his sworn duty to stuff Ensign Crusher out of an airlock.

Despite that, I think Janeway had the lowest dead crew body count of TOS, TNG, DS9 and VOY. I never watched Enterprise or anything later.

The ONLY proper answer.

Yes... Jim was emotional, rash, etc... but serving under Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty would be a riot. Followed by TNG. All the rest of them bore me to death. I'd rather have a worm from the Wrath of Kahn put in my ear than tolerate that lame bullshit.

Yup.

Would be interesting if there could be a breakdown on the poll results showing age groups. I suspect that most of those who voted for any other captain than THE ORIGINAL [TM] would be from Gen X, millennial, whatever.

I'm 50 and the only TRUE Star Trek cast will be the originals. I can tolerate TNG, but just barely.

Btw... been reading Shatner's book on Nimoy and it's been somewhat interesting. Was disappointed to discover Nimoy's leftism... but will still forever love the character of Spock (which Nimoy truly brought to life).

Kirk

He'd bust a gut to save his ship and his crew.

Doesn't know the meaning of the word quit.

No problem with violating the Prime Directive if it was morally justified.

Rigged the Kobiashi Maru because he wasn't willing to accept a no win situation. Do anything to survive.

And...........girls flock to him like Yogi Bear to a picnic basket. I could get the throw aways.
