I'm a huge fan of the ARMS 40L-P. I have done a lot of night-time rain shooting with that notch.

When you say nicer than magpul, do you mean the plastic ones or the metal ones (pro)?
View Quote

I forgot they even made a metal sight set.
I was referring to the original plastic ones.

I’m going to stop by a shop that will likely let me open a set of them today to check them out.

Currently leaning towards Midwest.
I like the look of the Troy but would like to not give them my money.

LWRC and Diamondhead for offsets.

Both better than Troy.

I have a carbine with an MRO on it.

Backup sights are by GG&G and they are excellent.

The pre "I hate troy" stuff I have is nice.

The Magpul pro steel flip up sights are really good in my opinion.  Especially when you can find them on sale.

Need a multi tool? Hold your nose and buy a Leatherman. Need some flip up BUIS?  Hold your nose and buy from Troy.

Yeah it sucks, I know.

Why do folks hate Troy?  I don't own anything from them, but do see some manufacturers get a lot of hate here.

They hired the sniper who shot randy weavers wife and baby or something like that?

They corrected the problem real quick whatever it was

Troy has some association with the man who killed Vicki Weaver at Ruby Ridge.

I won’t say much more than that. You can draw your own conclusions.

HS Precision hired Lon Horiuchi, who is the subhuman piece of shit that killed Vicki Weaver and is proud of it.

Troy hired another individual.

ETA: Dale Monroe, who was also at Ruby Ridge.

They make nice shit, I have one of their rails that I bought before they hired Monroe; but a lot of companies make nice shit and don't also put men on their payroll who make a living running around killing Americans with less restrictive ROE than the military has.

There once was a company that started with a "T" and ended in a "Y".

But I will never buy one of their products again.

I got to play with the LWRC, CZ and the Magpul pros today.

I was actually very impressed by the Magpul pros.
I’m leaning towards them now.   I had forgotten about their metal offerings.

Now the question is between the LR rear or the standard?

Still considering Midwest too.

Put another red dot or micro on a 45. Red dots are the best if you have to have backups.

Mine came on an upper that I bought years ago. The irons are the only thing mounted, so I'm pretty sure they're getting used. ??

All my BUIS are magpul pro simply because they lay a bit flatter than KAC. I have the LR on one and everything else is the standard non adjustable. I've qualified out to 500 yards with irons many times in the past so I thought I needed the LR. Other than sighting them in I've never moved the rear sight.
