Most people don’t take holster or cant into consideration.
As for the G17 vs G45/19 length, that short bit of difference can make a difference when sitting depending on your holster/body type/how you wear your pants. I carried a Gov’t model for a long time, then a G17, now it varies. But, if I am going to some bs sit down dinner or lounging around the house, I tend to have a G19 or 9mm Commander on. I have a G19.3 with 1911’ish shaped grip, super concealable. |

G19 used for several years. Personally I use it in its standard form.
If I needed something full size, just use a full size. To some I guess it’s just the fun of tinkering and having the best all around package. |

My p365 XMacro has 17 round flush mags, is factory comped, came with metal night sights, a red dot mount that doesn’t need some adapter plate, and is about half the size of a G17 so…
