He is literally the same exact character in every movie he's in. He has the same
mannerisms, tone and mechanical delivery of his lines, without any change. Sometimes it works (such as Pulp Fiction), but most of the time he seems so out of place and out of context for the movie (such as Star Wars). Why is he so revered as an actor? |

FPNI, so listen mother fucker don't talk shit about my irrational favorite actor of all time.

Haven't you ever seen his movies!!! Juice! That was a good one!
Deep Blue Sea! A shark ate his ass! |

Living off his Pulp Fiction job. His characters are all the same.

I thought his character in Django was pretty good.
Got kneecapped and blown the fuck up too. |

I like SLJ as an actor, I think he's really likeable and he's been in a LOT of amazing movies that I'm a fan of.
And yes, he owns the rights to "Mothafucka!" But when he starts sounding lefty I weep a little bit. |

I've always wondered the same thing about Nicholas Cage, and he's not even black. He plays Nick Cage in every movie and yet there he is in leading roles he should never be in. Now, when the role calls for Nick Cage, he's very good, but when it doesn't, which is much of the time, he's awful.

Honestly, it is becauae he rarely turns down work. He is in a ton of films because he likes money and that got him recognized in the industry.
Aa for lack of acting skills. John Wayne, Sean Connery, Nicholas Cage, etc.... they all play themselves. People watch films for two reasons. 1. To see some actors do amazing roles. Gary Oldman for example is deep when it comes to acting. 2. To see some actors that play themselves do roles that are entertaining. Arnold Schwarzenegger for example. |

I do get what you're saying about "actors" vs. "movie stars". |

Because he's a mushroom cloud layin' motherfucker, motherfucker.

Cause he’s a mushroom cloud laying mother fucker, mother fucker
Had to, but yeah your right |

He got those motherfuking snakes off that motherfuking plane.
I rest my case. |

He's a libtard fuck, but he's damn good at his job.
I would think that's why |

It's called being a "character actor", and it has an illustrious history.
Nobody has been forced to watch or pay for his movies. |

What matching him play the elitist global warming fanatic who tries to commit mas genocide and gets his ass beat in Kingsmen was nice...

What Miami_JBT said.
He did a Playboy interview in the 90s or 2000s and said pretty much that. It's his job and he loves doing it. He would work for just about any role, big or small. Art one time he was the highest grossing actor just because of the volume of movies he was in. Remember him in Jurassic Park? He was the IT security guy. It was a short lived part mostly. But he was always taking on parts. It got his name out in front of the industry and put money in his pockets. He's an A list actor because he worked his ass of to be there. |
|
Because he’s black and hasn’t had his scandal yet and he plays the same character in every movie, the angry black man.

He pretty much sucks. Boring same old thing in every movie but apparently that's what people want to see.

I thought he was one of the few redeeming qualities of the prequels other than memes. He was going to straight merc the chancellor, that's pretty hardcore for a jedi.
