Kind of stagnant today, but I'm guessing it will start jumping tomorrow.

TBH, I'd be happy if it hung out in the upper 50's/low 60's for a few weeks. That'd demonstrate strong support for the value.
Doubt it'll happen, though, given the Elon Factor and the Whales. |

Quoted: How can someone accept such a volatile currency for payment? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: DavidSW (watch vendor) is now accepting Dogecoin for purchases! Once OnlyFans and Chaturbate accept DOGE, we'll hit $50!!! How can someone accept such a volatile currency for payment? By converting it to USD immediately upon completion of the transaction. Same way it's been done with BTC for years. From a retailer's perspective there is absolutely nothing that requires you to accept substantial exchange rate risk while accepting crypto as payment. |

Got 2/3 out in the 60's, said I would wait and get back in sub .30 but after SN15 landed I dumped it all back in at the 50's and hope to ride it up a bit further through Elon's SNL appearance. That should pump it up a bit more and then I'll sideline 2/3 of my coins again for a ride back down. Meh, who knows!

Great...so I finally got my Kraken account funded but it looks like I'm on a 72 hour buying timeout right now. Guess I'm gonna miss out on the Elon SNL bump

Doge would need to supplant bitcoins current market cap to reach $8.32 per doge.
You better learn to take profits along this ride. Whenever the chart looks like doge, expect a crash. Never fails. You won't time the top perfectly. Get out along the ride up and down. |

I know that chart is fun but Bitcoin and Doge are very different. The fact that unlimited Doge can be created means the price is really driven by sentiment over anything else (kind of like the FIAT US Dollar). Bitcoin has a fixed supply so it acts very differently. |

View Quote Agreed, they are two totally different animals. I know a Bitcoin millionaire (he's a family member) who just purchased a multi million dollar home without even selling one of his bitcoin's. He was able to leverage his existing bitcoins as collateral to obtain a loan in cash. The people owning bitcoin never want to part with them, making it difficult to be used as a currency and not just a store of wealth. Dogecoin on the other hand is much better as currency. The fact that it will never come close to being valued as high as bitcoin is the genius of this coin. People will not lose sleep purchasing goods via dogecoin the same way they would spending their bitcoin. |

If bitcoin is supposed to be the new currency why even compare it against the dollar I don't want to compare it to the dollar, unfortunately most other people can't fathom its relative strength against it without currently doing so. So, until we're all spending satoshis at Wal-Mart and at the Ford dealership then at least in discussion with others, I'll be forced to refer to its value not in its superior form as units of satoshis but rather compared to a failing fiat currency that everyone currently understands. |
