Thinking that I even make $100k, let alone more than that. |
Broke $150 in early September.
$40 an hour flat rate $2500 a month salary 1% parts and service 401k but no matching. Limited deductions, wife’s benefits are much better. |

Monetary amounts in dollar terms means less today in an era of Brrrrrrrrrrr! The Fed Res (as well as Congressional spending) is destroying your income, your savings and your 401(k). Wealth transfer that favour the uber rich.

Quoted: @newglockster Get a CDL, find a crane company that does heavy haul and work your butt off. I drive big trucks, run specialty trailers (including the self propelled pictured) plus I have my Crane NCCCO certs. My 20 years experience as a Navy Seabee wrench bender also helped open some doors. My goal with my real job is 139K
Add in my hobby and I should be over that number. |
I don’t, I only make about $100k in my ‘side’ gig. Golfing and shooting most the time anyway. My supermodel doctor wife makes 10x what I do so we get by. We like to go to her 8,700 acre family ranch with a 5,000sqft cabin and private landing strip on the weekends (we’ll inherit that soon). She says as long as I keep giving her my 9” cock whenever she needs it we’re all good, so I’m not too worried about not making $150k.
I only make just under $90k to sit at home drinking coffee and watching TV.

120 last year, 7k this year. Bad year, plus I lost my dog. Fuck.

OP did specifically ask to exclude spouses. Edit. Shit. 6 pages already. Why do I never check that? |

Between us, the wife and I have five college degrees, two of them advanced and our combined salaries fall below $150,000.

@MRSRugerlvr is way smarter than me. She's my sugar mamma.
Together we do pretty well. |

Quoted: You're probably right. But OTOH, this is GD, so you never know... View Quote Base salary is 130k. With bonus etc I’ll be right about 150k. It’s easy living far as Oklahoma is concerned. I lived in Washington and made closer to 200k and quality of life and standard was exponentially less. |
145k base, 15k bonus, ~7k 401k match. Wife is around 135k - hoping for a promotion soon.
We're doing good, but it doesn't go very far... |
It took some time to get here:
$125,000.00 salary 11,500.00 401K match 30 to 50 k bonus 55,000.00 pension and whatever the wife gets from SS. I surprisingly don't feel the need to fill another gun safe, now ammo and powder and primers are another story. |
I'll make zero again this year. Wife will probably bring in 10 or 15k. Projected to be our best year yet
Day job: $120k Base, commissions will be around 40k this year. Maybe slightly more.
2nd Day job: $95k. Side gig: $30-$50k annually. Rural MN. |
I'm retired, and my wife could go anytime as well. So no $150K for me.
The fundamental missing thing is the context.
Where. 150K is not much in Chicago or NYC. 150K is pretty damn impressive in rural Nevada. |

Quoted: Given all the talk about six figure incomes not keeping up with inflation, and the threads on high six figure truckers and tradesmen, I thought this poll would be interesting. Include only your income, not your spouse's. If you get a 401k match, include the match. View Quote Yes, even though I'll be off on injury for the last five months. Was there before I went out in July but I work alot of OT . |

No but they are realigning because about 60 people fall under 1 person right now. That person isn't a dedicated lead they are a normal employee who was supposed to be the lead for about 10 people in the same field. They are planning on making 1 lead per area of expertise, apparently they are planning to make me one and if so I'll hit that 150 or gladly let someone else handle the headache, I make more then enough and I handle my own business just fine.

Yes.
That and medical insurance are what keeps me working. I believe the term is "golden handcuffs." |
150 is the new 75 from not too long ago.
I recall convos with friends 30 years ago where we’d dream about making 50k a year. |
Should be right at it.
Made it there before 30, which is nice. |
I won't make +150k because I don't own a printing press. Will def earn +150k.
