Nice car OP. Styling isn't my thing really, seems like Subaru's keep getting uglier to my eyes.
I'm still driving a 20+ Y/O WRX bug eye sport wagon that's had a 300/300 tune for 15 years now. Other than an annoying valve cover leak it's been trouble-free. |

Quoted: Quoted: As a practical matter, it may keep stone chips to a minimum, but it doesn't make it “pop” or anything like that. It just looks like the typical sedan that some kid dragged through the Ricer catalog. (Was gonna say JC Witney, but that was before your time) Do you drive on gravel roads all the time? Close. Pittsburgh I Like it alot, from a practical standpoint. You know about 303 protecterant right? |

Congrats and welcome to the party pal!
I’ve been enjoying mine for the past 5 months 7k miles, it’s a blast to drive. Thanks for taking the heat, it reminds of a moped as some haters will bust your chops |

As long as you like the ugly little thing. That's all that matters.

Not gonna say it grows on you, but definitely looks less offensive after time. And I’ve been selling these things for 11 years now.

Not a fan of the new body style. They dumbed it down to look like every other car on the road.
If I buy a WRX I want it to be in your face obnoxious. It's a fucking rally car for fucks sake. Give it some soul. It shouldn't look like something that Susan from accounting drives to church on Wednesday nights for her Bible studies. |

Entice under warranty owners back to the dealer with free oil changes and car washes and clandestinely put stop leak crap in the coolant system to nurse it through the warranty period so it blew up later on the owners dime. WTF? Have they no shame? I can't believe these crooks are still in business. |

Quoted: Nope. The WRX lost the rumble in 2015, with the STI being the last holdout. As the STI isn't being made any more there isn't any OEM way of getting that unique sound back. The aftermarket has responded though and offers unequal length headers for people who do want it. View Quote Bummer. They sounded so good. My high school daughter drives our old 09 legacy gt. It’s got a mild tune and muffler deletes. It sounds so good. I live in a very affluent area …all her friends have way nicer cars but they always want her to drive cause the old legacy gets more attention from the boys. Pretty funny. |

View Quote Personally, I think they need to come with a stupidly impractical gravel rally suspension as a factory option and only come in blue/gold, so it's probably a good thing that I don't work for Subaru. At the end of the day though, if you're driving it you don't have to look at it. So if it drives well, congrats OP. Have an absolute shitload of fun with it!!! |

Quoted: I was debating with myself about posting this but decided fuck it so here it is. There is lot of debate concerning the lower body cladding. I like it and addition of Sparco Terras with matching red Sparco insignia makes the car pop. I like the new VB just fine, even with the funky plastic and weird stereo/dash. Those FA24s are turning into monsters when tuned and a couple bolt ons. My daily WRX is a 2021 premium in WRB. I couldn't wait for the 2022 to be released. I just ordered some all season Continentals, the dsw06 plus (or is it dws?). Looking forward to being able to travel into areas without worry about cold/snow. The summer extreme tires that came stock are scary in the cold! |

I don’t like lots of stuff. I don’t post in peoples threads about their new cars, because it’s usually ugly or something else. I don’t particularly like Subaru.
That car is cool as shit. Rock on, op. |

A guy on Reddit just posted this. He's got a 2022 WRX running e50, intake, tmic, and catback. I'm assuming he's means he's using an aftermarket tmic.

First off, congrats OP and hope you end up loving your new ride for many years. A new vehicle purchase is always fun.
I personally cannot believe they added black plastic to the fender wells like that, definitely Lez-BaRu style. Yes, you can add protectant, but anyone that’s had to do that knows, you have to do it every wash, and it wears off after 4-5 days (after a few years). I had a 2003 4Runner back in 2005 with that shit. Pissed me off to no end. Lexus added lower black cladding to my IS500 - but it’s gloss black, so it cleans like paint. BMW did the same thing with many of their new cars (M3). I don’t really care for it, and wish it was body colored. It’s some new fad I guess. ?? Attached File Attached File |

Very nice ride OP! I'm keeping my 21' mostly stock for 2 more years, then will consider getting an STI or sending this one into tuner land.
All I have done is some minor cosmetics stuff, Blizzaks for the winter, and I put muffler-deletes on. It pops like crazy when driving hard or downshifting Attached File |

Looks identical to my Corolla.
but my Corolla is an S model with a sport button so you really don't want none. |

Don't listen to the haters, cool car.
Yeah, it's a little ugly, but you won't care when you're inside it. I had a 2005 (saabaru actually, but still fun) for a while. Considered WRX when I got my GTi, but I'm old so wanted the slightly cushier VW and I was able to find it easily earlier this year. |
