Hoping Subaru does a mid-model refresh on this disaster. There is so much wrong with the design at every angle.

They’re even worse in person.

The cars are not well-received, still, and they’re sitting on the lots. Horrible, Subaru/Toyota.

We have been running these tires on my wife's Volvo V90 for 2 years.  They are absolutely fantastic on rain, ice and snow.  It goes like a tank with them, we are thrilled with these tires..

On a nationwide basis maybe you can find dealerships that have them on the lot but most people are ordering them and waiting months. I waited 2 months for mine to be delivered. There are 6 Subaru dealerships in the Pittsburgh area. The only WRXs in stock were GT models with CVT transmissions.

I doubt it will be an EV. It will most likely be a Hybrid to compete in the WRC against Hyundai i20.

And even then I believe they’ll do an FA24 STi in the states and do another 2.0 in Japan for at least one last run.

They stole the tail lights from Honda.

Why isn’t it at least 300hp? The decisions they made on this are just so strange.

I hope you can tune it to your liking though.

Subaru half-assed it to leave themselves room for a few no effort product refreshes before they're forced to go all electric.  Motor is taken from the Ascent and detuned down to 12psi boost.

To be fair to the OP and the WRX, the aesthetic issues with the WRX pale in comparison to whatever the fuck Subaru has done with the new Legacy.  I think they stuck the Outback Wilderness front end on it or something.

I think it was partly due to them planning a STI release and then canning the whole thing. That extra room would have been their EZ STI button.

Dont go crazy with increasing boost as matter of facto I would stay on the conservative side.
WRX in the snow is fun as hell especially if you have a rear LSD installed.

Changing the oil was easy, but getting old and nerve damage made me get rid of my WRX Limited. I do miss having a car with a stick but the old body is telling me automatics are my forever transmission.
I did manage to sell it before gas went nuts and will say I'm glad not to be paying the .60 extra for premium gas.

Agreed. The 41yr old me went IS500 as a DD and either an M3 or M2 manual (for track) when BMW calls me back with an allocation.

If I was 25yrs old right now, I'd go GTI for this price range. Or a used IS350/340i. Faster/much better looking.

Yeah, I have no idea why people still buy them; they're beyond obsolete at this point.

And this is coming from someone who built a 07 STi in his buddies driveway and had a heavy tuned hatch.

Akkshullllyyyy, the lights are present on the old Viziv concept from 6 years ago, and were just an updated version of the 2013 WRX concept, which predates the Civic generation that has the similar lights.

Also, the exhaust was supposed to be in the middle of the plastic cladding like the concept. That's why there's all that weird plastic on the back of the new WRX. They decided to keep it but move the exhaust.

I'm still ambivalent on the styling of the VB, but otherwise they seem solid.

Snow over ice this weekend in Pittsburgh. I wouldn’t want to have to drive in those conditions in a RWD. Combine the snow and ice with plenty of steep hills in Pittsburgh.
