One thing I've learned from ar15 is never take travel advice from the inbreds here.

When I went to England you all had me believing that it was a war torn Afghanistan.

Im going to Mexico in February and it will be fine.

I’m going to visit some in laws in the middle of Tamaulipas in a few weeks. It’s in the middle of the jungle in a Zeta controlled area. I’ve been many times before and it’s pretty rough.
I think it’s hilarious that some of these folks are threatened by Cancun and Cozumel hahhaha

There are many parts of Mexico that are safe to visit. Touristy and non-touristy.

I visited Mexico 6 times in 2018 and plenty of times before that as well.

I have camped in the forest, hiked in the mountains, hitchhiked to get to the beach, wandered city streets at 3am, stayed in fleabag motels, visited isolated small towns, and met many new people in Mexico.

I’ve been to Juarez and Tapachula and dozens of places in between.

Never had a problem in Mexico.

Flying into Tampico and my wife’s uncle is going to pick us up to take us the rest of the way. I’m not thrilled about it but I promised I would go to this quince.
I’ve never not had a good time though. Swimming in spring fed mountain rivers eating till I need to let my belt out. Sitting around at night drinking. I  like watching the folks burn out the sugar cane fields.
I’ve had to pay a few “tolls” usually $50 or so.
I stopped driving down there when I started getting clipped by cops in Matamoros a few years ago. I try to keep away from the border towns now.

"One night she stayed out to explore the town on her own..."

Isn't that how pretty much all of these stories end?  With over-confident young women, completely disillusioned as to the danger of the real world, go off to "explore on their own" and are never seen from again?  "Going to South America alone and hiking through the jungle sounds like such a wonderful and character building experience!"  Said no wise person ever.  If you want further proof that western women are privileged beyond belief, look no further than the extreme naivety their hold about the world.  Next you'll hear about them biking through Iraq to prove that people are good.

She's now on a boat to the ME or Thailand for a permanent "working" job.  People don't think the sex trade be like it is, but it do.  Maybe she'll run into Natalie Holloway and those two Australian blondes that went missing in South America while on a hike.

But by all means continue to send your white young blonde women who live in condition white 24/7 on down there.  The local "business" appreciate the continued supply I mean customers.

Back in the 90’s we knew of a guy who went to race motorcycles down there and his wife went for a morning walk on the beach and didn’t come back. Turned out she’d been gang raped and kicked to death by a bunch of rancheros attending a local rodeo, they never caught the perps. Even back then...shithole.

Whoop de doo.  I worked overnights on the near West side of Chicago too.  Car fires, hookers, shootings, all sorts of shit was NORMAL.  I would rather go back there and work again than go anywhere near Mexico.  At least in Chicago if called the cops will show up and shoot anyone with a weapon, and pretend to give a shit.  The part you aren't understanding is that Mexico is almost completely lawless, and that has no comparison to anyplace in America.

Tell us about the last time you were in Mexico.
