The only person I would stay home for is if they ran someone like Krispy Kreme. I think once Hillary or whatever uber progressive that runs starts spouting off about slashing the military, banning guns, raising your taxes, and fundamentally further destroying America, a lot of you are going to change your mind about staying home because republicans are not running your perfect candidate

It's an oligarchy. A select few rule while doling out tax funded goodies to special interests & large voting blocs

I have lived in Florida and Texas.   First of all Texas is a shit hole in general.   Your gun laws are the strictest in the south east.  Your alcohol laws are horrible.   Your local governments are anti business pro FSA.

Every one I ever met in Texas was borderline retarded.  The people were classless and rude.

Florida on the other hand is very conservative,  beautiful state and for the most part the people are friendly.   We have better universities,  and actual culture.   Texas does have a lot of rusted trailer parks so you beat us there.

I would go on but I suspect your response would be something along the lines of "well you know Texas is the only state that can legally succeed from the union. "

Oh yeah let's ignore the voter fraud that happened in Florida to give the election to Obama and the fact that Florida sued the federal government to stop Obamacare and Florida has outlawed not only gay marriage but gay adoption as well.

I guess it doesn't matter Texas will be deep blue in 10 years, but the hicks and morons that live there will still be spouting off about Texas like it's still 1880.  You guys are just characters of yourselves and the rest of the country laughs at you.  Enjoy the future of your state amigo.

Voting is for suckers. It's just drama for the masses to keep us divided and make us think we have a say in our government. The truth is that no one can save America and anyone you vote for is going to do the same thing when they get elected.

I would rather the destruction of this country be slowed (R) than sent head on into oblivion (D).
I agree that a true conservative would be the ideal candidate (again, I vote for those in the primaries).
But if we don't get a true conservative as the GOP candidate, wouldn't it be better to cast a vote "against" the greater evil and try again in the next primary (and again and again and again, if necessary, until we DO get a conservative candidate)?
At least this way, there might be some of this country left to save when that occurs.
I just cannot stomach doing anything that makes it even easier for a (D) to attain an office that effects the life of me and my loved ones.
Not voting or voting (I) in the general does that very thing.

I won't vote for any more aristocrats regardless of where they claim to stand in the political spectrum.

I really don't expect anyone not blessed by the cartel's two party moneycult to make it through the primary process.

At this point, about the only reason to show up on general election day when the presidency is on the ballot is to have yourself recorded as a solid still participating in the process citizen.

I don't wonder anymore.

2012 Presidential election sealed it for me.  Name major policy differences between Obama and Romney?  Lip service differences don't count.

Our 2 party system is a mummers farce.  It gives the illusion of choice, but in reality there is very little.  The parties will duke it out over inconsequential shit like gay marriage, abortion, and guns.  But they both serve the same masters.  Take a look at the campaign contributions to McConnell, Shummer, and McCain.

Rand Paul would assure a democratic win.   We need real conservatives, not fringe crackpots.  I know Rand isn't as bad as his father, but his Daddy brings way too much baggage for him to be electable.

Let me explain. Jeb Bush wants full blown amnesty which would mean a further destabilization in our already faltering voting demographics. Secondly, he's not really a fiscal conservative in that he recently stated that tax hikes were an adequate trade for alleged spending cuts. Thirdly, he supports Common Core. If you can't see the writing on the wall, then I don't know what to say. I suspect that you have been so conditioned to fight democrats that you can't see the enemy in your foxhole.

While Jeb is a little more liberal than I like, he has experience being the governor of a large state. I think he will come to the job much more experienced than Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Ted Cruz, or Rand Paul.
Has worked with legislatures, submitted balanced budgets, and has made hiring decisions.
And he might be moderate enough to get elected versus Hillary.

Not sure what the term "Mobys" means, but I would vote for several of the leading Repubs possibly in the race. Cruz, Paul, Perry.. all would make at least decent choices.

Jeb Bush, not so much. He is a moderate at best.
