Quoted: It will be interesting to see the year once closed. Will Diabetes, etc... numbers be much lower in 2020 due to being absorbed into COVID19? If so, the delta will be important. View Quote It sure will, but one way or the other, the wuflu still got to them. There was one gov guy who said a large portion or majority of the people who will die from covid, were likely to die in the next 9 months anyway. There is zero doubt that wuflu has a deadly exaggerated effect on those at or near end of life. those deaths should still be contributed to wuflu, but you’re right, at the end of the year, the overall average amount of deaths may not be so drastic. |

Millions have the virus, no ill effects. Somebody dies heart failure or whatever, they test all for virus. They had the virus, must be the cause of death.

I wonder how deaths from other listed causes have dipped.
Chalking it up to Covid anytime someone dies with a comorbidity like severe CAD, hepatic failure, ESRD, etc really doesn't mean as much as say a healthy person keeling over and dying from respiratory failure. Looking at one number and saying "OMG 50k!" without actually looking at other data points and also not waiting a year to do a retrospective holistic look at the situation is kinda dumb. |

Ohio is pumping up the numbers also, but at least they are providing both sets of data (people with consistent symptoms and those who actually test positive). |

Is the 15% medicare reimbursement bump for Covid-19 patients real, or is it bullshit?
Oh wait! Is it 20% now? LINK Think I'll go with my original hypothesis, expressed in a meme: Here's my favorite gem from the CDC website: As of April 14, 2020, CDC case counts and death counts include both confirmed and probable cases and deaths. This change was made to reflect an interim COVID-19 position statementpdf iconexternal icon issued by the Council for State and Territorial Epidemiologists on April 5, 2020. The position statement included a case definition and made COVID-19 a nationally notifiable disease. But hey, don't take my word for it. Read it for yourself: CDC Coronavirus It's utterly amazing to me that deaths from stage IV lung cancer, heart disease, and strokes are way down. Nope, can't understand why. Just one of life's mysteries I suppose. |

First off, 50,000 people isn't much in a country of over three hundred million. Second, the dead are overwhelmingly the elderly and the unhealthy.
I'm sure healthy people in their 20's, 30's, and 40's, are just thrilled to be sitting on their asses at home, watching their lives go down the drain. This shut down was never necessary. If you're 60 or over, stay home. If you're 50-59 and have certain conditions, stay home. Everyone else, social distance, avoid crowds, maybe masks in stores, and wash your hands a lot. Ignore NY, and the "spillover states" of CT, PA, and NJ. Now how many cases are there in America? How many deaths? |

Fake News.
How many of that 50k actually died from something else but simply tested positive for CV19? |

Quoted: Just ignore the fact that they're counting pretty much every death as a WuFlu death, whether that or the side effects killed the person or not. View Quote Except they're not and you're just propagating fake news. There's definitely a margin of error due to not everyone having been tested and the tests not being completely accurate but the way this virus tends to kill people is well known and doctors are determining the cause. My brother is a hospital administrator, they aren't making money from WuFlu - they're losing their shirts. Hospitals make money on elective surgeries which have been mostly cancelled. That's why there's billions of bailout money going to hospitals again. |
